The red Mushroom vent said to the big black solar panel did you see Myles trying to pull us on that Scooter thingy?....... did you charge it up ? Yes I did trouble is Myles cant steer but he did a real great job servicing the engine but he left poor Marina to do the dirty job on the Stern gland, poor sweet girl .I think she may give me a new coat of paint next my white spots are getting a bit faded. She is quite the electrical genius though did you see those battery diagrams ,looked like a bowl of spaghetti to me Have you talked to Buddah today ? No I think he got shifted when all the plants and stuff got shuffled I hope he's ok he does feel so at home when Marina does her Yoga ,yes I enjoy that too sh'e so supple and fit. yeah and all I can do is sit here and hope no one trips over me.Getting dark now sun has gone to sleep .Nite nite little mushroom sleep tight . Great vlog guys takecare happy cruising XX

Guys, when filling the stern gkand pump just hold it over the seal in the grease tub (the plastic ring with the hole) and then unscrew, the suction will fill the pump without all the messy stuff 👍

stop by a auto parts store and buy a strap wrench(it is made to take off and tighten oil/fuel filters), also buy direct your parts to service your engine and keep your next set on the boat with the tools you need to do the service. Please get some oil/water towels(they are design to soak up any oil/water in your engine well) and you toss them in the trash. also get a head lamp/torch for when you have breakdowns at night.

You should Fill the Fuel Filter with Fuel BEFORE you Fit It, Saves Bleeding 9 times out of Ten

Wrong grease in the stern gland guys. That grease is unsuitable. Should be Morrisons K99 or Ramonol, water resistant.

You really should warm up the engine before pumping out old oil - its easier when oil is warm and you will get more out.

Nicely done on the service front.. gearbox looks like a PRM 150, definitely within your abilities .. only two bolts ... One on bottom for draining one one the top with integrated dip stick for topping her up..

the black plastic knob on top of the fuel filter housing should be sprung and pushed down several times until you feel resistance after fitting the new filter it will bleed out the air in the new filter and fuel system.

That was a great sunset scene. And, yeah, I will publicly admit to being a little bit disappointed both that the scooter didn't move the boat and that Myles stayed dry; but didn't want the scooter in the water, although human beings are drip dry, electric scooters are decidedly not.

Great job on the service nothing like doing it you're self if you can and knowing it's all been done. What a lovely spot with the cows they are so curious when they see something new. If you played some music they will come to it. My dad used to milk the cows and play music to them as it helps them relax and so you don't get kicked. Stunning sky at the end great place to stop, stay safe and catch you in the next.

if you are going to pull a narrowboat by hand or scooter, then you need a long tow rope, not a short mooring line. try it by hand first and you will be surprised how much easier it is with a long rope. I've done it usually through a lock when no one's on the boat.

Wouldn't eat those they are called Swan Mussels which live in fresh water, they are edible but you should only buy them from a farm which can guarantee the cleanliness of the water source they've lived in. They are common in canals and lakes in the UK also, big old Carp love eating them.

Hi in this country UK it's 90% rain 10 % sun Lol some years in the UK if you add all the rain day as well as winter you could get as much as 8 to 9 months of bad weather not every year is like that but some years it don't feel like you've had a summer ☺

you could try spinning for pike at dusk they are quite tasty sliced into 2 inch steaks and fried in butter . mind the teeth though dont pull the hooks out of their mouth with your fingers , your likely to get bitten . buy some forceps nice long ones from a fishing shop to pull the hooks out.

I don't know but if a boat engine is like a car then the engine and gearbox are using the same oil if I herd you right you said you drain out 8 litres will a car engine only takes 5 litres at the most so half of what you put went in the gearbox
