carchar and giga occupy the same spawn slot and there can be up to 3 at a time on the island so since you saw all three as gigas you have to kill or tame them and hope carchas spawn in their place. their spawns are the 5 moutains on the north side of the map including the volcano.

Yea I've had a giga and a carcha both spawn in the volcano at the same time..... let's just say I needed a new change of pants and my thyla still has ptsd from the carcha jumpscare from the mesh

Yep. Ive seen both of them in the volcano mesh - just see a bit of tail or face. I cant shoot them to clear room for a better spawn - kind of a bummer

@@woodsmire I've had gigas and carchas in the mesh and been able to shoot them enough to get the to come out and get Lava'd - or, alternately, knocked a low level giga out just to have one.

The best way I found to kill gigas in ASE (which is not suitable for videos, as it's somewhat boring), is to get a quetzal, some good guns, and lots of ammo. Then you just hover the quetz over the giga, stand on the quetz's wing, and shoot the giga until it dies. I haven't tried this yet in ASA, but it was a great way to get rid of low-level gigas and get giga hearts in ASE.

In Asa you can put heavy turrets on platforms. I have a quetzal with 6 heavies for a giga/ carcha killer.

@@rextro-gaming I have both a carchar AND a giga spawned into the walls of the volcano. I sometimes see the carchar's head poking through a stream of lava. Had a lighting glitch at the exact same time first time I saw it, so that that was extra crazy

I like how, in the last video, Axe was like "do I tame a rhynio or fight the Dragon?" and now he's like "decision made, giga taming." Btw I've heard that creatures now see gateways as solid walls, so when you fly through them, they try to find another way around. Not sure if that's true, but I've been thinking to try standing in the trap with a shield and getting the giga in that way, without having to fly or go through a gateway. Also I left a pretty detailed explanation of how stats of the rhynio baby works in a comment on the last video, if you're still unsure

hope you plan to have a preserving bin with all that stuff right next to the bug cause you need to make sure you have little to no run time to get the stuff for cravings because the time for cravings is tight and any extra time could cost you losing a craving

Gigas and Carchas share spawn points.. There's a spawn point in/on the Volcano.. Also Raasclark had 2 Carchas.. I say had, cuz just before doing Alpha Overseer he found a 145 at the Volcano, so he sacrificed the lower level one by bringing it into the Tek Cave (yes, Carchas DO fit through the door), and that was actually what carried him through the cave.. Just a warning.. Volcano area and Tek Cave entrance is extremely buggy.. Took Raas a lot of trials and tribulations and reloads through more than 3 hours, just to get through to the Arena..

While flying about on single player, I found a giga and two charchas inside the volcano. I lured them into the lava and got some easy giga hearts from that. Then found a giga and a char ha together on the eastern snow mountain close to Hidden Lake. Both were lvl 120’s.

So, how I assume this works. You go through the gate before the giga went into the trap, and the AI recognizes that it can't get you through the gate, so it goes around. It would possibly go in if you sat inside the trap near the edge, and you only left after it was in and trapped

I found a 140 Carchar hanging out next to a lvl 40 Giga near the strong cave in the snow biome. It was terrifying. Im pretty sure the giga was using it as a bodyguard.

Yes, not only do Carcharodontosaurus spawn on the Island in ASA, but also Syntac has seen one on the volcano on the Sausage server. The AI can still be manipulated. It's just higher stakes with walking cataclysms like Gigas. On my server I was able to use a modified traditional trap for a level 20. I put down 'wings' made from fence foundations on the sides of the dino gates. Dinos that are not fear running really try to avoid walking over them. Forced the Giga right into the horseshoe of metal dino gates. If you check the volcano you can sometimes find creatures spawned in the walls. I found a 145 Giga that spawned trapped in rocks in the volcano on my map. Sadly she decided to break free and swim in the lava after I had already dumped 50+ tranqs into her. I had to watch her die the whole time. (Maybe need to turn cave building on and floor the volcano carefully to not disturb spawns for the future.)

Look in the two cave area at the Valcano for chars and gigs. They die super easy in the lava and it counts for you.

i have tamed both giga and carca and both of em has been hiding just outside the tek cave entrance. :D so dont forget to check there aswell. :) and keep up the grind. but i have seen carcha across the snow mountains and all other mountains aswell. keep up the great work axe!cant wait for the next episode. :D and aswell carcha is free with otter and 2 rex babies :D

My Giga story...I found one on Metal Mountain was a level 5 one so decided to kill it. So I take my Argy and start attacking it (Argy is Mid at best) and get a bunch of hits in but the Giga bites him 3 times and as I fly away bleeding he turns and bites him one more and my Argy died. BUT my game crashed after the Argy died(only time I was happy for a crash and restarted and he was alive and fine. Lesson learned don't attack even low level Gigas with Mid Tames.

He didn't know it was a "trap". He just saw it as a barrier to getting to you. You are his target. If you tank it with a Thyla and stay INSIDE the trap yourself, he will walk in much easier.

Carchas are def in ASA they spawn up near blue ob and volcano usually similar to the gigas. They are a bit uncommon still tho as are gigas. They spawn but not nearly as much as other tames or it atleast feels that way lol. I’m playing on an official server tho so maybe ppl were just taming them a lot or I wasn’t looking often enough. Best chance is after resets when playing on official.

What happened to Evo and Syntac did they stop playing? The easiest way I have found to tame a Quetzel is to place ur bird on follow to you. get the glider suit or a parachute on your body, grapple to the Quetz and shoot it with ur gun. When it falls, fly down to it and ur bird will follow you down.

Sure you know, but when taking Carcha, easiest way is to hatch some baby Rex’s (low level only takes one) and kill them and feed them that.

Carchars do spawn on the island, they share the giga spawn container and in ASA island can spawn in the volcano's caldera by the tek cave entrance. yee fighting and face tanking a Yuti head on is a sure fire called it 100% prophecy that you will get fear roared, but you can avoid it by being behind it or to the side of it. It can be tricky but makes it easier to deal with.

The easiest way I have tamed quetzals is by first taming one and giving it a platform saddle then you make a trap with a couple foundations, ceilings, walls, and one dinosaur gate, then you find the quetzal you want to tame fly in front of it and get it to go in the trap then close the gate and tame it. Not really sure this works in asa because I have only done it in ase.

Gigas and carchas spawn in same locations I’ve seen a lot of them spawning on volcano now too the volcano is kinda nice spot because you don’t need to trap em can just sit on top of the volcano and pew pew from the top

I like carcha’s better they are faster and carry more weight (most of the time) and the carcha can hit harder when you tier the bloodrage up the giga is slow but does hit harder right off the bat

It's not that it understood that it's a trap. When you get to the other side of the doors the tracking shows that your on the other side of something that it can't walk through so the tracking makes it walk around the wall of doors

You’ll need 2 Gigas to breed because the Rhynio will unalive the tame it impregnates! Also don’t let it get away so you can have more than 1 baby and better chances at getting stats but every birth will unalive whatever Tame you use‼️ LIKE SO HE CAN SEE!

Yay, more Axe content! To clarify: Breeding rhynio doesn't get those stats.. it gets that many POINTS put into health, or melee, or whatever. So if you had the tech binoculars, for instance, you can see the points your bronto has for that health. If you get a rhynio it could get the bronto's POINTS or the mother's POINTS.. then the stats will be based on the rhynio's growth rates and the points. (including mutations) So if it gets it from the bronto, it will definitely show a different amount of health than the bronto's.
