When one watches showcases from creators you see them seemingly effortlessly and confidently know what to do which is so far from the daily experience of most players. But what you don’t see is that they’ve spent hours and hours practicing exactly what to do at each moment.

I think this highlights how in the future we might get more sustains like gallagher that focuses on breaking to help the team. Super break works best when the whole team does toughness dmg to break faster so once we get more gallagher-like units for other elements in the future its gonna be really helpful for team building.

Aventurine is my first limited sustain, I played natasha and march since day 1 (still do but now gallagher is also an option) to the point my most used unit in the year recap was natasha almost every month. If they were to let you change elements from sustain units I would still bring them, but as it stands there's no real reason to bring them on a fight without their element. Playing the mechanics is much more fun.

uhh if anything silver wolf got worse over time as we kept getting amazing harmony units which made it harder to fit her on teams compared to before. also boothill and firefly having their own weakness implant is bad news for silver wolf as well

@@dankmeimes4274 Silverwolf got better overtime is like Arlan got better overtime as more unit came out. Doesn't chance her value dropped hard and it's hard to slot her anywhere. Even Acheron prefer Pela than SW. a lot of the time, putting SW is a DPS loss than adding a Tingyun or Sparkle or Ruan Mei or whatever for example. The time where SW shine hard was when MOC buff gave a lot of debuff stacks during Ratio banner. So in the end SW became a niche unit unlike Pela who can perform greatly every MOC.

Nah Pela is just far worse than SW. Why? Because my Pela with the same build as SW, 160+ spd, high ehr, max all talents, always clear slower. There is no skill issue to talk here, pela is just easy to use. That's my experience, my real result.

From experience an E5 HMC definitely fills up ult on sushang technique without breaking, which reduces that layer of rng. After testing, I think Sushang might not be the best for Super Break; it definitely performs worse than hyper pumping her with Harmonies for some reason. It might be because the downtime between her 60 and 210 toughness breaks are a bit far apart, and her 60 toughness phase deals middling damage without crit supports (even over a Luka that retriggers the Bleed proc; but Luka also provides vuln for breaks and easier access to break LCs). Best I’ve seen floating around for a s0 team is 4 cycles. Edit: I wanted to add: Luka is also +1 SP on EBA while Sushang is neutral. Not that big of a difference but it definitely does allow you more options in battle.

The amount of time it took you makes me wonder what's so different between our setups. Maybe it's HMC's eidolons, maybe it's my Aventurine's toughness damage, because I didn't even have to think about what I was doing, and each hit was dealing less damage than yours. Maybe your Sushang is using too many rolls for crit in comparison, mine is 162 speed out of battle (she's on River Flows so it increases in the fight, the screenshot I sent my friends laughing had her at 204 spd). She was missing her last ascension trace because I forgor, but it still worked out. When you have the time and gear lying around, try it out if you'd like.

e4 is the only major eidolon i can think of that can change the run due to adding around 70-135 more BE to everybody when she gets it. not sure how much that translates to damage but thats a significant amount of BE to not give to the entire team

@@animedegenerate1437 That's what confuses me though, because my builds weren't complete and were dealing less damage than in the video, the video not even having e4. I'm thinking it's gotta be just speed thresholds and aventurine's toughness damage as opposed to lynx's, iirc this Sushang is built like a normal dps at 134 spd, and was timing ult. While I have a supersonic build that uses ult immediately after my action to get maximum actions.

It probably is the combination of lacking eidolons making u lose out on energy regen and slightly more dmg to party, giving sushang more turns in general and aventurine shitting out the dmg your sushang does not deal over Lily’s. but aven has really decent toughness damage too which can’t be overstated. I think the initial rng was what made the run so high roll anyways, getting HMC E4 defo would’ve cut down the amount of retries.

I also don't know if it was so necessary to break with physical in this scenario unless the elite was going to die in the first break quicker. It's definitely better, but I'm not sure about reset-for-12-hours better.

was really bummed to hear you didn't love hmc in your last video- I was hoping they'd be a total game changer for your break teams but all your issues with them make total sense. hmc is strong but I think a lot of people overlook their imaginary typing, it leaves a lot to be desired when hmc is the one popping a break on an enemy and the rng to avoid that is, like you said, quite a pain with the bounce skill. I will say though I think you would've had a way easier time with this clear if you had e4! it's a world of difference

I'm glad you were able to go back in and clutch it Lily. Goodjob! I tried taking HMC for a spin too in this fight. I wasn't quite able to get the 0 cycle on MoC 12 Node 2 with her as of now in the team I was trying, but did get a 1 cycle using Her, Sushang, Ruan Mei and Robin. I think if I had HMC E6's and Ruan Mei's S1 I'd be able to clutch it down though. I think that last dupe will make a significant difference for sure.

I have a really good Sushang as well, would love to see how I can improve her. This clear would be faster if I used a similar team becasue my RM is a bit of a cheat. She's e2s1, so she allows a lot of 0 cycle clears , I usually can run her without sustains. I would try this but with Natasha because my lynx is not build. Natasha should make it hard. Lets see. I'll update this if it fails or succeeds.s Edit : I got it done with the same team but took like 7 cycles. Need a better HMC and Sushang. I love my tanky my Natasha build is, 103% effect res, good luck charming her Kafka haha. Edit 2: After trying a few times, i guess the reason is Natasha is not as good a cleanser as Lynx, this significantly slows down the run. Sad but true, I'll try March and then fu and Xueyi to see how it changes

Get your Harmony MC E4 or E5 in the clockie statue when you can, you will notice a better difference like that and i will change the LC for the one that Ruan Mei has, don’t worry your Ruan Mei will manage since she can get enought break from the E4 MC The skill of Lynx can avoid one debuff if you have her E2

Why didn't you go for the Arumaton first when fighting Kafka's wave? Seems like you can kill it in 1-2 rotations and then fully focus Kafka. Removes the CC threat from Arumaton and you can count break on Kafka easier since HMC bounce hits only 1 target. All in all still great run. I'm waiting until I fully build HMC with eidolons before trying.

I agree. Doing the same setup I see the best runs usually involve counter intuitive decisions, like either ignoring kafka or breaking the aurumaton with imaginary instead of physical to have less pressure on Lynx. The strategy needs more flexibility.

I used luka instead of sushang and adventurine for sustain, some advice: get the e5 for mc to get rid of a rng factor, also I used mc's first skill on the horse to be sure I break with luka, apart from that between adventurine and mc, breaking with physical was hard so i just gave up on the idea, i tried to break kafka with physical and apart from that i didn't bothered and just focused on super break, still manage to clear in 4-5 cycles.

I suspect there is some slight anti-synergy with Sushang, since her kit is fundamentally the prototype of Super Break but not actually Super Break, causing her to scale better with crit and/or energy recharge support. Also HMC definitely has gaps, especially when compared to the current 5* harmony trio (Ruan Mei, Sparkle, Robin) where their kits just provide so MUCH generic good stuff in multiple areas. HMC provides pretty much additional damage (and a good amount), but that's realistically almost all she does. She doesn't even increase Break Efficiency. As soon as a DPS releases that has their own Super Break (if at all), HMC's value would plummet drastically due to slot efficiency, never mind a better Super Break support.

The value would actually skyrocket, by stacking both super break. The mechanic itself should be HMC exclusive, but the next characters have a different version of it that allows for stacking.

I honestly had the same issues when I ran HMC with my breaker Luka, Aventurine and Mei. The rng is real and restart once I got cc'ed back to back. I still managed to clear it in 8 cycles with 40+ attempts lol

I'm curious, how would Hanya, HMC, RM and Aven or any sustain would fair? Since Hanya would help in breaking bars fast, while also letting HMC spam his/her skill without worrying about SP Also I found Hanya with Sushang be much better (I do have Aven also paired with them) since Sushang is sp negative/sp neutral, but with Hanya she becomes sp neutral/sp positive and they both can break fast (specially with RM's help)

Sushang’s damage is really disappointing, being fully buffed by the 2 best break supports in the game. Granted, she would get some more BE from HTB’s E4, but still. I mean, we are talking about TB, it’s already a miracle that they made them this strong, but I think people are overhyping them to an unrealistic level.

@@flybreak7808 e1 is sp neutral against broken enemies, the talent gives more speed when enemies are broken in the field, the ascension gives 15% advance forward in any action, the ultimate fully advances forward, e4 gives break effect, e6 doubles the speed talent, has standard high toughness damage from hunt characters, and is physical element for the initial break. You need to think some more. There's a reason everyone is picking her up for showcases.

i have fu from release and after pull aventurine from my experience till now, he is more cracked than fu, honestly if you r FTP/low spender aventurine is enough. fu without her sig LC is MEHHHH, her sustain is not enough in my opinion, but aventurine is different, slap him with whatever lightcone you have and he is ready to go!!!

If the enemy is weak to quantum or heavy on crowd control you'd still want Fu, but having every answer to the game is very much a luxury, just for sustaining it will not be necessary. There are a lot of benefits to Fu, but from an economy perspective you shouldn't invest unless you don't need anything else/will just pay in money for the character.

Yes and no. The reason MC and Ruan Mei get along so well is because you can get 300%+ Break Effect easily which also allows you to get more stats elsewhere. I didn't get her despite pulling as my 50/50 was lost to Gepard but MC without her is more strict partner wise. You need people that can get close to that 300% with relics and LC if they don't have traces for Break Effect so the Back dancer buff and HMC traces pushes your units over that threshold. If not, then your Super Breaks will hit like a wet noodle so is not ideal if you wanna hyper carry high end content solely on a mechanic. So better save your currency and wait for other characters that are part of the Super Break era because there's no Ruan Mei banner at the moment and Boothill and Firefly are both really Strong Super Break DPS that can easily get naturally all the Brake Effect needed without too much investment if Ruan Mei is not featured in 2.3.

Fights don't feel like a challenge, but instead feel like a Gacha, and if the Planets happen align you'll get the run. Yeah, we appreciate you wanting to showcase what HMC can do.... but 12 hours resenting? No thank you, we rather do something that actually respects my time.
