Yeah. I seriously want him to survive in the next game. He has been through way too much. He's been trapped for a long time, He has a type of disease he can't shrug off, but the symbiote, and just wanted the symbiote back not because he wanted to put peter down, but to be whole once again, so that he can be Agent Venom. So he can ACTUALLY heal the world with Spider-man. And things did not turn out the way he wanted it to.

it's a shame that you don't have some way to talk venom down. By the time of the agent venom story, peter comes to understand that venom is a sapient being that can be reasoned with and who isn't actually that bad of a guy deep down, but rather has been messed up by a string of bad hosts. A few times peter has listed rejecting venom so quickly as one of his biggest regrets since ultimately venom needed help and being rejected by pete, whom venom saw a true hero, really kind of pushed him further over the edge.

I would've enjoyed Insomniac keeping Harry as Agent Venom, Peter getting the symbiote but eventually the symbiote leaves Peter and gets on Eddie Brock instead and then in the end have Peter, Harry and Miles team up as the 3 Spider buddies to stop Venom. But I understand that they had to make Harry become Venom to set up what could potentially happen in Insomniac's "Spider-Man 3" with Norman possibly becoming "The Green Goblin".

Go read the comics or watch the shitty Venom films for Eddie Venom. The game’s trying something different, and it works for its narrative. If it was Eddie in this game, a character who isn’t even established, it would be boring as we’ve seen the same thing with him over and over. Making Harry Venom is a nice change of pace and makes the conflict between Spider Man and Venom more personal as they’re life long best friends at odds with one another. With Eddie he goes after Spider Man out of pettiness and spite, which in most stories works with the set up between the two characters, but Peter no longer works at the Bugle in this universe, and their shared employment at the Bugle is the root that creates Eddie’s resentment. How the hell would that even work for the game’s story and setting? Harry being Venom in this narrative works, and your favorite variant of the character still exists and isn’t going anywhere.
