Definitely yes. If we consider the fact that the Elder Wand is the most powerful wand in the world and is a serious threat if got into the wrong hands. But if we consider the tale of the three brothers, the fact that the Elder wand has a bloody history shows the wands true purpose, to kill anyone with a lust for power who comes along its way. That’s the only reason why Dumbledore was able to control the wand and why Grindelwald was defeated in 1945. So technically he didn’t give Voldemort the Elder Wand but his death sentence. Plus considering the entire Elder Wand master drama in the books which in my opinion is one of the biggest plot holes in the entire franchise could be easily bypassed. More details on this scene: In the Half Blood Prince film which came after the books ended had a scene of Harry holding the Elder Wand in Dumbledore’s office. If the wand was really that dangerous, neither Dumbledore nor Snape would’ve been dumb enough to put it in Dumbledore’s grave. A place where in the books Voldemort was able to find the elder wand quite easily without Grindelwald’s help. Putting these pieces together we conclude that Snape should’ve visited Grindelwald after Dumbledore’s death and Grindelwald would’ve been the one to have suggested to bury the wand with Dumbledore. So that when the time comes he can lead Voldemort to his death. Of course I don’t think the movies planned all of this out. I think they made the change to give a cinematic conclusion to first part. But either way worked out pretty well for them.

The film makers have got it so messed up on this. Professor Mcgonnagal isn't even supposed to be BORN in the year Fantastic Beasts is cast. That's my main problem, and a wand that can work for muggles, really? If that could be used being a squib would be no big deal for Filch. I think I'm just gonna disregard the rest of the Fantastic Beast stuff.

Ya, McGonnagall being in the films kinda makes everything seem like BS, which is sad cuz I wanted to love the films so much

@@Half-BloodUniversity_ Yeah the first one was good but they include Mcgonnagal and it felt weird. They say Aberforth had a son? He was like 17 or maybe less when Dumbledore and Grindelwald parted ways. Cause as I recall Albus said Abertforth needed to focus on school so he would take care of Arianna till then and some time later I don't think it was years and Dumb and Grin had already met by then. If the filmmakers haven't even read the books they shouldn't make a film. At least try not to be stupid with it. Maybe they just put Minerva in there cause it would seem weird to have Hogwarts without her. Maybe Dibbet would be better, and Dumbledore was transfiguration as stated in the books not DADA, of course he's really gifted so he could do other subjects. But they are way too divergent and nonsensical in FB.

How they could ruined, if the movie from HP was filmed and written far before the Grindelwald movie been planed to?
@Half-BloodUniversity_2 жыл бұрын
Because in the movie he has no redemption in his old age. In the book he doesn’t give Voldemort the information on where the Elder Wand is and his last act was for good. In the movie he just tells Voldemort right away
