The Sabine short is actually referenced in the season 1 finale at the very start where they steal the ship and blow up the base again its even the same Storm Troopers because when they see Sabine they say something along the lines of "Its her again" and then when they see the explosives they say "not again"

also Ezra's short is referenced in episode 4 "fighter flight" when he tells Zeb that he already has the TIE pilot helmet which make Zeb pout.

The nostalgia, I remember seeing these when they aired Disney XD before the series premiered, I also remember one short being the first few minutes of spark of a rebellion and when this was on Netflix the shorts were put as episode one Edit: The shorts were referenced a few times 1# In that episode where Ezra and Zeb steal a tie-fighter Zeb offers Ezra the pilot’s helmet and he says he already has one from his short 2# In the season one finale, at the beginning when they steal an imperial transport it was from the same hangar Sabine blew up and when she shows up the troopers immediately recognized her

I’m currently watching rebels for the first time for the Ahsoka show, and it’s honestly become one of my favourite shows.

Most criticism I see about Rebels is the animation and how it differs from Clone Wars/Bad Batch. Other than that, I’ve only seen two or three comments of dislike over the years and hundreds of favorable reviews.

Omg Louise Julie I have noticed them as soon as I was done with rebels because I was so sad it was over and I was desperate for anything and I notice the little scenes that didn't make the cut

These shorts were part of the original advertising, so were shown (and set) before the first season. This is why they were only vignettes for each of the characters. Was also a fan of Neil Buchanan's Art Attack!

OMG! I watched these back when I was 16, straight on Disney channel! I remember HATING the Sabine one, because “ugh, Disney is *ruining* Star Wars!”. Little did I know almost 10 years later I would *love* Rebels, and Sabine would go on to become my third-favorite character in all of Star Wars!

i've watch these shorts before, but only now did I realise that they're all connected, Sabines story is the start of a mission, Zeb is supposed to be on the mission but got distracted, Ezra saw the mission and finally Kanan, Hera and Choper completed the mission. the only question now is, what was the mission?

I'm looking forward to your watch of "Resistance". It seems that not too many people took the time to watch this Sequel Era series. For myself, I've had two runs through it, and though a bit different (particularly the animation style), it was still a good rider (otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with the second go-around).

I truly love your passion for Star Wars. I was the same, at one time. The first movie I saw in a theater was ANH, was very young but that spark of such a fantastical world and wonderful characters stuck with me as I grew up. Made me believe I could do anything. It did the same for so many in my generation, and we kept the faith for a very long time. But as sorry as I am to say it, those thoughts/dreams/beliefs have been absolutely destroyed since Disney took control. They systematically removed and obliterated that spark, took away the wonder and imagination of such rich worlds/characters. And in it's place gave us tropes, pale remakes of the original, girl bosses, and modern time standards put into a purely fictional world. I don't begrudge you any enjoyment from this or any Star Wars content. Goodness knows I've liked my share of entertainment that others thought was garbage. I just have to say this because you seem very genuine and I hope you're not ignoring what is actually taking place with one of the top 5 IPs of all time. And just to add: I've never really known why but the Scottish accent has always been my favorite (and a weakness in certain cases).

Yes, the nostalgia! I remember getting the original two episodes of Rebels on DVD when they released them as a minimovie, and these were on the disk as well. I had forgotten about them, so this was like watching them for the first time again. Also, is it just me or did Zeb kinda sound a bit like Andy Serkis in his short? Kinda the grittiness of how he says things I guess.

I'm not sure if they're worthy of reaction videos, but they'll always have a special place in my heart. I was 7 years old when they were originally broadcast on ABC back in the '80s. I was SO happy when Disney+ added them to the library👍
