This is a perfect collaboration of Geoff and Layne’s. Layne arranged the song and Geoff directed the video. That’s why he had the easiest makeup.

You’re not far off on how this was filmed. They broke it down into 10 scenes, with more makeup between scenes. It took all day and well into the night. They did have a little trouble with the little boy (don’t try to work with children hopped up on candy) so the hand ringing the doorbell was actually Kathy!

I really hope that you continue to listen and react to older VP music. One of my biggest pet peeves about YT reactors is when they only react to the group’s current releases from the time they start reacting and miss out on the entire back catalogue of phenomenal music. There some really amazing VP arrangements that hardly anyone has reacted to. If you want a place to start, I’d suggest ones like True Colors, Something Just Like This, Heart Of Life, It Ain’t Me, Kiss, and Lost In Japan.

Rek Dunn (who the tribute was for in Warriors) has a behind the scenes for this Video on his channel. It's well worth watching. Patrons were gifted an extended version that had me laughing so hard it had me in tears. Turns out Layne is very ticklish.

@@ShyAnn291 correct & did you also know that Rek Dunn was in a rock band with Eli way before Eli joined Voice Play ? You should see the head of hair he had back then. I believe it's called Who Is Eli Jacobson ? You will see Rek singing with Eli in the band during their street performances .

I believe that was the soap opera Dark Shadows with Barnabas Collins as the vampire who returned back to Collinsworth . I was 13 when this came out & I couldn't wait to get home from school to watch it. I am now 68 & have the collection & still watch it from time to time. .

Hah, two surprises there - first, that you haven't done this one already, and then you pointing out the makeup time needed in production. I never even thought of it - just too much in the world of the video I guess - but of course it's going to take ages! Not quite as long as stop-motion animation, but still, the dedication is there alright. Take care.

We used to watch Dark Shadows when I was a kid too. And I'm 63. Awesome show. They had to stop 10x to add make-up to each of them. Was an all day shoot. It's amazing what these guys go through for a 3-10 minute video. Voiceplay just filmed another video Monday.

Oh yeah - A big "Twilight Mom" here! not sure how ya missed this classic, but so glad it caught up to you! I haven't looked, but if you haven't done their newest ones, they are, of course, awesome! The Halloween ones from back in Oct., In the Hall of The Mountain King & Hide & Seek (Ding Dong) feat. Lauren Paley are epic, and they have just done some new shorts with 💜J. None💜 and also a new full length cover of "Nothing Else Matters" feat. J. None that is a total upgrade, imho. Even tho I am a Pentaholic, VP and HF are both right up there with them in my heart. And J None - well, he has his own place here in my heart. There is a fantastic video, posted by Bill Sturm, of J None singing "I Got This Feeling" with Navy band Northwest Passage & it's so glorious! Nightmare Before Christmas - never watched it, never will. But Voiceplay can do anything, and I love it all!! Try their cover of Eleanor Rigby. Eli did the arrangement, it was the second one they did after Earl left. It's hard to catch, but Eli is singing both tenor parts in that one. Please??

Sorry no idea what Earl is doing now. I did see him singing on one occasion with some other people but that's as much as I know. And doesn't Geoff make a wonderful vampire? Yes this took a long time to film as you say. Patrons got to see a behind the scenes video. Thanks for laughing at Earl with a hatchet in his head. Many people fail to react to that and it's hilarious. :)
