I love Waist Deep (2006). It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated as they took the whole " Bonnie and Clyde" concept and theme to a another level as it was absolutely and positivity constructed perfectly from the very beginning to the end. The story, performance's, music, action sequences, direction, and cinematography was spectacular and phenomenal. It also gives a insightful and articulate representation of fatherhood as you do whatever it takes to save your child as you make the ultimate sacrifices, decisions, and choices due to a father's love. It was decent and to this day I still watch it. Waist Deep (2006) is a true blue modern gem in cinema. Vondie Curtis- Hall directed a classic that will be in our hearts forever. It never gets old.😍😎💯👍🏻

This movie always got a bad rap especially from men who hate hood love stories. But I always loved this movie. Fun fact: Jr’s real parents are accomplished directors and his father Vondie Curtis-Hall was a popular actor in the 80s before becoming a director. He was in Coming to America, Die Hard 2 and other movies and Tv shows. He directed this movie and one of my favorite movies of the 90s Gridlock’d with Tupac. You can actually see Jr as a baby with his real mother Kasi Lemmons in that movie too. 😂
