I appreciate the younger generation watching movies I grew up on. I’m only 31, but I remember going to see this at the movies with my grandfather when I was a kid, which seemed like yesterday. Time sure does fly. Salute to y’all channel. The guy from ATL is a legend. His name is Jason Weaver. He was the voice of young Simba on the Lion King and he played young Michael Jackson in the tv miniseries biopic of his family. Look him up.

This movie was my introduction to Nick Cannon & Zoe Saldana. Here are some fun facts: The dude from ATL played by Jason Weaver played Michael Jackson in The Jacksons An American Dream Miniseries, he also did the singing voice of Simba in The Lion King (1995) & he’s also a singer. I need to watch Lioness. I would love for you guys to watch the following movies: Love Jones Hoodlum Underclassmen Colombiana Death At A Funeral Takers Love For Sale Biker Boyz

This movie is based on the HBCU band, North Carolina A&T. Whenever ya’ll get the chance, I’ll suggest checking out Jackson State band(Deion Sanders was the head coach not too long ago for football and the band performed at the Super Bowl with Usher this year.) A few others I’ll recommend are FAMU, Southern University, and Alcorn. People gettting on y’all in the comments lol but I understand if y’all aren’t familiar with it.

I watch Drumline every single time it's on like it's the first lol. He on a full ride to play drums. That's his job. He ain't owed anything. I fool with the young bull who does the reviews but I can tell he still has a lot to learn. He young it is normal.
@samestuffdifferentday57122 сағат бұрын
I at 14:35was in the marching band at a white school as a drummer , had to go out to the boonies for band camp marching in the sun learning routines for the football games for 6 weeks and the moves were dull but magnify that times 10 at a HBCU because those bands really dance with equipment on holding instruments. You must be in good shape.

The reason I think why dr Lee told Devon that he made himself look like a jackass was bc he got cocky and he still got a lot more to learn

Both Drumline and ATL are very loosely based on the life of Dallas Austin. Legendary Atlanta music and film producer. Devin and Layla's relationship in Drumline is based on Dallas's relationship with Kim Porter (Diddy's deceased baby mother). Rashad and Nunu in ATL was modeled after Dallas and his friend T-Boz from TLC.

"Do bands run?" Not really. Endurance training is required because marching and playing simultaneously takes a toll on you. I played trumpet and was part of Oklahoma's Centennial Parade. Marching in 95-100° F weather for 2 miles was *HELL* . Near the end, we took more time between songs because of how gassed we were. I was a sophomore in HS with 7 years of marching under my belt. I have never been more exhausted than I was that day

Right. A lot of ppl don't know that marching bands started from musicians actually marching with soldiers in war. The band kept the soldiers in line and even gave signals and commands. There's a reason for the military precision and bands still take that shit serious to this day.
