You'd actually be surprised how few of plays they actually call on offense on a NFL team. Some teams offensively literally only run about 8 - 12 play sets or formations with about three to four different variations of each play (aka audibles). His approach was actually realistic

Wow that freefrom addition is massive, madden was unplayable for years, player would beat the defense be wide open and the defender would make this unrealistic space makeup and pick the ball twisting at full pace, could never lead the receiver enough to guarantee a completion. And zone would take away everything but underneath and super deep.
