Criticizing Israel is not anti-Semitic. Many people don't understand that there is a difference between Judaism and Zionism. Judaism is a time-honored religion, that represents precious humanistic values and has a great cultural heritage. Jews are an enrichment for all societies in which they live. Zionism on the other hand is a political ethno-nationalist ideology with some fascists excesses that have become more and more apparent since the Netanyahu government. Many millions of people of Jewish descent worldwide do not identify themselves with zionism. Many Jews support pro-Palestinian demonstrations worldwide because they don't want the Netanyahu government to commit crimes against palestinian civilians in their name. This is mostly not mentioned by the mainstream press. Important is, that we all treat each other peacefully and respectfully. In every religion / culture there are people who practice their religion with conscientiousness and love and there are those who are driven by their irrepressible selfishness who only use their religion as a cover. Now is the time to hold Israel accountable for its crimes and apartheid policies. I see no other option than to close diplomatic and economic relations to Israel and to isolate this state until democratic reforms following the example of South Africa have taken place. A quote from Nelson Mandela says: “We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians." Among the most loyal Nelson Mandela's comrades-in-arms are many South African Jews who passionately and with all their heart and soul supported their black friends in the fight against the South African apartheid regime. Despite the fact that the State of Israel was a close ally of South Africa at the time. Just like back then, today it's also jewish people again who worldwide support the palestinian struggle for freedom, self-determination and human dignity the most. Many people are not aware of this. Since the Israeli government has gone to great lengths to conceal this for decades. Anti-Zionism itself has its origins in Jewish society. At this point I would like to express my deepest respect and gratitude to my anti-Zionist Jewish brothers and sisters. You are the bulwark against fascism.

So.. I am speaking just from the perspective of being an avionics specialist in an F-15 squadron many years ago. I may be wrong about this. But.. I have seen footage from Hezbollah of them launching a drone attack against an iron dome battery in which an IDF F-16 could not target the slow drones at all, and nor could the iron dome obviously. The F-16 had to literally drop flares in front of them, catching one, but the other three still hit the target. This is super bad for Israel if they cannot counter a drone that costs less than $10,000 USD not counting ordnance, and iron dome keeps getting slowly hit. The only sense I could make of it was that the Hezbollah built these drones to operate at airspeeds under the speed at which F-15 and F-16 airframes could stall, so cannons no weapons systems are capable of targeting them. It could take at least a few years to develop interceptor drones. So what are the odds the iron dome slowly gets picked off by Hezbollah and then they get overrun? And looking at Hamas videos of Gaza does not depict IDF infantry in an effective light at all.

My basic understanding is that European empires have always wanted to control that space. Palestine is the geographic crossroads between Eurasia and Africa. So there's motivation to control trade routes. It's also Europe's front door coming from the Middle East. If there would be a military invasion they would have to come through that region. Napoleon settled Christians as a buffer population. Europe settled the Jews. The parallels between NATO/Ukraine and Russia are relevant because the Donbass is Russia's front door.

Raises some very interesting points, but you might be ignoring or minimizing some things. 1) Anglo or 'British' strategic power is still very high, Britain can still act on its motives 2) Oct7 was preceded by a feint in the north, Hezbollah tents etc 3) The superpowers have been preparing North Africa for a push north, for decades

The problem with everyone asking reasonable questions is actually the problem...when a people have built up their belief so much and think their blood is more superior...they do not regard their adversaries as equal...and to be fair to isreal...their adversaries have never acted smart or they were not united, there has always been traitors amongst the group even now...but it took many years and errors for the adversaries to learn....American words mean nothing and American policies have also shown to be lies....i think the people in the region are ready regardless of their traitor leaders...dont be fooled , America wants this war , look at their actions and not their words and it will tell a story of provacation and leading us on a path of destruction.. .even the nice professor mearsheimer is a fraud...if you listen with a real ear , you will listen to him wanting war with china....there are not a single American thats part of the blob not wanting war...japan should show us that America is ready to take the world so that they can have it all...dont take people like mearsheimer too serious...they all want war in their own way

I agree that Mearsheimer is incorrect about China. I disagree that Israel was brighter and more organized-from the earliest UN transcripts and proposals during the creation of Israel, the Zionists were brutal, and always intended to take all of Palestine (meanwhile, the Caananites lived in that region in peaceful agricultural settlements since 8000 BCE, and the Hebrews arrived only later in 1200 BCE from the eastern side of the river Jordan, to invade against the will of the Canaanites, their entire narrative of precedent is actually, totally false). This said Israel now exists and the current government for last 30 years is far-right nationalists, and gravely underestimating both the power of the US, as well as all the adversaries standing against them. Basically, Israel will commit certain suicide if it does not begin to balance not only its military actions, but its underlying intentions, and sentiments. The Israeli people themselves are marching against their government.

What I do not understand is why Israel did not go for an option three: To fully recognize Gaza and Westbank as Palestrina country, and so Israel will still remain Jewish. In the end it is not geographical size that makes a country successful, and Israel would benefit from less Arab conflicts. Is religious reasons the only reason why they cannot let go of some land area to put stop to it all?
