A two state solution does not solve this problem. Israel has never accepted the idea and is now reiterating their opposition ever more emphatically. Additionally, I've yet to see anyone set out a two state formulation that assures Palestinians bona fide statehood; restoration of lost property in the West Bank isn't even addressed. It's also very suspicious that the music festival dates were changed at the last minute and extended by a few days. Attendees didn't know the reason for this and as far as I know it hasn't been explained why this happened. It's clear Israel knew Hamas were planning to break through the fence. Hamas or resistance fighters don't have a history of capturing civilians, they always target military. They weren't aware the festival was taking place. I fully believe Israel engineered the situation and didn't tell the soldiers anything at the bases they knew would be attacked, and made sure the festival would be happening on the right date so Hamas would run into it and undoubtedly civilians would be killed and possibly captured in the ensuing panic and chaos. Because this would give Israel the situation they needed to be able to, in their minds, justify a full-on attack and clearance of Gaza - in order to be able to capture the land, claim the oil and gas reserves they've had their eye on for a long time, and execute their Ben Gurion canal plan, or at least put themselves in a highly advantageous position by taking control of Gaza's reserves (while of course continuing their historical plan of ethnically cleansing the land of Palestinians). I'm fully ready to believe that the type of mindset that carries out the Hannibal Directive would be prepared to sacrifice their own soldiers and even their own civilians (especially those "lefties" that they housed close to the Gaza border) in order to realise their greater plan. They saw what Hamas were planning in front of their eyes and decided to use it as an opportunity, and we are watching the result of their plan right now. There are several IOF soldiers who have confirmed they fired missiles and bullets on their own civilians on October 7th, and it seems clear to me the number of civilians killed by the IOF is much higher than the official claim, there's plenty of evidence to that effect. Why isn't this being discussed?

There's more though on why this is all allowed to happen. The Egyptian president gave away to islands (Teran, and Sanafeer) to Saudi. And even after the Egyptian people sued him and won, proving that they were Egyptian islands, he insisted that he just thinks they are Saudi islands and that is that. Giving those islands to saudi would turn the water into international waters, thus giving (you know whom) the right to make their BG canal (can't say the name). But it will be like Suez canal, just owned by (you know whom and the west). it's gonna bring in a shik load of money, trade, and they'll be able to transport all that gas. However, they need the J4zz4 strip to start their digging. So yes it does make sense that Saudi has started to warm up to them, after all they are a part of this alongside Egypt.

The Hannibal Procedure states that if a soldier is abducted as a last resort if there is no other option, the abduction should be prevented even at the cost of potentially harming the soldier. This does not mean Israel killed abductees. Of course there was chaos and cross-fire, and when vehicles of militants were attacked and it was initially unclear what was happening, those vehicles were attacked, so it seems a number of abductees were also killed. In any case, according to all testimony, these were isolated incidents. Regarding the 40 infants found dead, we live in the age of social media - claims can get exaggerated or falsified as they are passed around from person to person. In any case, Israel disavowed this story and there were other claims that Israel later disavowed. To all the haters who want to downgrade what Hamas did, do yourselves a favor - lock yourselves in your homes and only come out when you become more humane.

Just as you say, don't downplay what Hamas did, it's also equally as important to not make up false stories or exaggerate what they did or didn't do. Either you want the truth or you don't.
