EDIT: I made a mistake with the estimated final budget for the game and switched up American dollars for Australian dollars. The final budget came closer to 90,000 USD, not AUD. Someone in the comments pointed it out and I always want to make sure I get all the facts straight, so I wanted to correct it here. What indie game would you like to see me cover next? @@senza4591 hm..... I suspect they won't stray too far from the price of the first one. Not only have they said again and again that they aren't in it for the money, but they're almost guaranteed to sell millions of copies, just like with the original Hollow Knight. $15 times three million is a lot of money. $15 however is not, which is nice seeing as I am broke. In addition, the low price of the first game was one of the biggest draws. "If you have any doubts about whether or not you'll like this masterpiece, just buy it. Hollow Knight really made me feel a sort of happiness and intrigue for a game that I've never felt before. Not only did it hook me with the art (being an artist myself, I was kinda blown away with the detail and love that you could see was put into it. And I LOVE 2D art with a PASSION), the music, the game play, and the characters, but it made me feel so excited to do EVERYTHING the game had to offer. With an OG save of 300+ hours, I have so many memories of the incredible first experience. It also made me have a large appreciation for bugs LMAO But I also picked this game up at a time where anxiety was really bothering me and I was having a lot of personal issues that I really just wanted to get away from, and HK was the perfect outlet for that

I’m 23 almost 24 and can confirm hollow knight has made me rage like a 12 year old kid again. Almost cried once and find myself wondering why do I not feel over powered yet I’m so far in. But still a good game the satisfaction of beating a boss or complex platforming section feels amazing after being so emotional down after trying for so long. It’s almost like a drug!

Congrats on this video! It made me appreciate this game even more!!! I got this game as a gift on my birthday this year... and I'm obsessed. I love video games but I have never been too skilled, yet this game it's difficult but leaves the door open for you to improve easily and beat it. I think I hadn't spend more than 30 minutes in a boss. I lose but the bosses gives you enough time to heal, and hit and that helps you feel you can do it and go back every time. It's a challenge you know you can win, but you need to keep trying.

Most incredible thing is the speed, they showed that speed in prototyping ideas quickly easily trumps long design documents that try to over-engineer concepts on paper before even trying them out in the engine

I'm glad that KZbin recommended this video to me. I watched a few others of your videos, and I really like them. I love that the "style" of the video is adapted to the game, with the fonts and all. Honestly really surprised to see only 25k subscribers, but i think your channel will grow pretty quickly.

Amazing video my dude! I am very much considering buying this game on the Nintendo Switch, it seems like a great game on a handheld! (or I might wait for the sequel, we'll see haha) Also - your animation and narration is great, as always!

Thanks man! I’ve honestly only played it on my Switch in handheld mode, it feels so perfect on a smaller screen.
