That was really interesting when Sauron and Morgoth got together at the biwizards' council for a formal debate. Sauron almost tricked me when he argued in favor of paying men more than women for the same exact work. But when Morgoth advocated for judging all fantasy creatures based on skin color rather than character content, and then they teamed up to do both, I saw through their evil plan and was so glad to have SuperGal-Gadotriel as a strong woman to fight all the pervasive isms in Middle Earth. Hopefully, all the young women that make the mistake of watching this show can grow up believing they have extraordinary insight and superhuman powers to fight against racism in the declining remnants of Western civilization.

It was not true to the books and more like an action movie, I mean the cgi and casting were great....but overal it just wasn't good after you'd read the Hobbit... I don't see anything wrong with ring of power so far. I like it alot actually even tough I totally hate leftist idea. I know hardcore fans that knows everything will find every thing that's wrong and bash it but for a casual tolkien fan, that think LoTR trilogy is 10/10, this serie is pretty accessible and might bring people raise deeper interrest in Tolkien world to some normy people. Honnestly, not that woke (first 2 episodes so far). I bit of diversity and stuff but like nothing disrupting the story.

The issue is that their idea of a "good story" is often superficial and childish. This is reflected in their godawful "stone sees only downward" monologue, they have no deeper message they want to tell other than a vague "Positivity wins" idea. It's also extremely based on personal taste- I would wager the women in the writing room absolutely LOVE the whole CW-tier "Sauron in human disguise seduces Galadriel" plot they're building towards, because that's their idea of an emotional fulfilling, resonant story. Construing this all as "hollywood only cares about being woke instead of telling a story" effectively gives them a pass for all the nepotism hires who WANT to tell a story, but have nothing worthwhile to say or contribute to a creative sphere, which IMO, is the biggest issue with modern Hollywood.

As someone who watched all the LoTR movies, The Hobbit and loved several of the games it’s sad when people butcher worlds they have no right to be a part of. I am not a hardcore fan but, make your own woke worlds and stop butchering ours. It’s almost like the woke writers have no vision or good story writing because all they seem to do is take old stuff and butcher it to their “standards”. Or they make something new and it get cancelled before release or loses money because no one wants to see that crap. Overall I don’t like movies and them making everything woke just makes it so I will never spend another penny at a movie theatre again. I only have Amazon Prime for decent shipping times and Twitch Prime rewards (free in-game stuff and free games).

Im not a ultra fan or really fanatical about LOTR so I don't know if it makes zero sence for there to be other races other than just white and the black elve was weird at first but it's not Medieval England and the dude was elve like though.
