The problem with Honda right now, they're overcharging. For a new accord it almost 30k. It like they're trying to sell you a metal chain and calling it gold. And also Honda was never consider cool. It was considered a reliable and more important affordable car, which is now losing that main appeal.

That's how much midsize sedans are selling for. But for my money, I would go for the Camry because you automatically get a hybrid powertrain. Honda makes you pay an extra $5,000 to enter the hybrid powertrain on the Accord

@ I’m gonna have just slightly disagree with you. Hondas automatics are super reliable if you take care of it and don’t abuse it and drive it properly. One of the biggest things that keeps the transmission going and last almost forever it’s to perform transmission fluid maintenance which people often overlooked and never doing it, as all they care about is getting oil changes and go.

Along with many Honda motorcycles, I have owned a 2003 S2000 and now I have a 2020 Accord Sport. Honda products are always highly engineered. Keep it up HONDA!

I own a 2016 honda. I can say for certain a huge mistake was the CVT transmission. They put it in every car and it’s long term reliability is shit. Consumers took notice and now their reputation for reliability has tanked, which was for a long time the main reason people bought a Honda in the first place

Kinda wild that they haven't experimented with the EV/range extender combo. They have extensive R&D poured into both generators and hybrid vehicles. Also, it may just be my ADHD, but I'm not a fan of boatloads of electronics in cars. It's so distracting to have several screens doing a million things. They could make their cars less expensive *and* appealing to folks that want to pay attention to the road without distractions. Every manufacturer is going this route, and it would be a nice differentiator.

Modern turbo Si is NOT fun to drive. It's slow to rev, runs out of huff early, and generally feels slow, because it is slow and under powered. NSX got it's lunch eaten by C8 Corvettes. Nothing in their lineup is noteworthy except the Civic Type R, but that thing costs as much as a performance sedan, so that makes no sense at all.

There are planty of customers which want a car not driving computer you to make subscriptions. I think this tech BS in cars is a fashion same like people buying ICE car after owning EV.
