Me and my wife met in Pharmacy school and we were both broke af then and settled for what we had. Now we both make six figures but I’ve still never seen her complain that something like waffle house wasn’t good enough for her. Dave Chapelle said it best, poor is a mindstate and it’s one that few people escape from. Being poor means you have nothing, and want everything, but aren’t willing to work for it, you just want that shit to fall on your lap because you feel like you deserve it. Being broke is okay because it means you don’t have money right now but you got a plan to get out of it, but being poor is a neverending cycle that spans through generations and destroys families.
