But I thought filters were what was helping us evolve. If guns kill a lot of people then that's just evolution at work, right? Guns aren't particularly any more responsible for deaths than any other weapon. And nukes are even less so because it stops countries from going to war. Evolution will continue forever so long as we have generations. People living longer in the sense to old age means nothing, really, what matters is more are living to maturity and breeding, then it cuts off again after a pretty brief period.

You can actually and he explained why. Because of medicine and health care we allow people with disabilities, diseases, deformities and illnesses to pass on their genes because we help them live. In nature sick animals do not reproduce. Animals with 1 leg do not reproduce because they die very quickly because they are unable to survive. Thus in humans every single bad gene gets accumulated in the gene pool and we instead evolve backwards.

We are still evolving... but not the same as how we’re were thousands of years ago. I believe our brains are still evolving and will continue to evolve until we are able to use most of not all of our brain power. Also, de-evolution isn’t real. We are still evolving but we are evolving to fit human standards. Sure we are losing our physical abilities but that’s because we won’t really need them because we are depending so much on technology.🤷🏽‍♂️

The smartest are still not actually the fittest. In fact, if we use education as a measure of intelligence, the smartest are typically the least fit as they have fewer offspring and thus pass on fewer genes (generally those with higher levels of education have fewer children).

the most beautiful aspect of our universe is that it almost always moves from a state of pure chaos into a state of relative order where it may seem like things that are were always meant to be and then back into a state of chaos as if to remind us all of where we come from. The universe is a very powerful and endlessly amazing machine that we should all learn to appreciate and learn to live in harmony with. Our problems are extremely petty when compared to the vastness of our cosmos. Down to our smallest spec of matter that comprises the atoms in our bodies to the largest and most devastatingly powerful masses that hold Galaxies together.

That does not matter anymore. We are almost at the point to design our own evolution. We can already adapt the environment to us. Which shows just how stupid are the people that think the climate change is a thing... it's not. We can terraform our planet if we wish. Climate change is just a political scare mongering, it can't do any real damage. Also it doesn't really matter if we pass our genes or not. Nobody in the future would use nature to decide what genes he/she have. So the people today that think they pass their genes to some "future" are actually pretty naive. Future humans would engineer their genes and probably change them multiple times through their lives, so it would not matter at all who their original parents were.
@Dakushiko
@Dakushiko 5 жыл бұрын
@@Slav4o911 maaaaan it's not political, it's scientific. No more insects meaning nor more bees meaning no more biodiversity and the end of life. How expansive would creating robot bees at a global scale be? How would we produce oxygen without plants being able to reproduce and create it for us? Human is NOT able to control climate and should STOP thinking of it like a giant mechanical thing. Climate is not a car you can fix, it is a billion more complex and intricate. We aren't able to tell what weather it will be in one month exactly and you think we are able to control climate? Every tiny movement of gases and masses of air in the sky changes the weather man. The climate has tendencies but there are easier way to save it than just thinking of it like a toy. Why are we in the 6th mass extinction and why didn't we stop it if it was that easy? (Sorry for the mistakes, english isn't my first language.)

once there is no environmental pressure to evolve, evolution just takes a break. that's why some fish have barely changed for ages. this does not mean evolution does not take place at all, but the changes that occur might have no advantage to the species, thus the change does not spread throughout a species.
@Dextrius

Both of these are quite true. Infact, we have changed a good bit since the times of knights, for example. Evolution is slow and not easy to spot seeing as we are all so varied, but small changes of the average over time is a good indication of it. There is a belief currently that we have grown taller and more tolerant to substances over the centuries (Illness epidemics, alcohol/drug consumption, and natural preferences in females for taller males are such reasons why). It all falls into what keeps you alive long enough to have more children than the next fellow, so things that assist in this are going to be emphasized in our genealogy. So yea, being bias in attractiveness to a partner helps humanity in the long run: who knew?

This really reminds me of the film, “Time Machine” (I think) with Guy Pearce. He goes thousands of years into the future, and discovers two types of humans. One is enormously smart, with brains that are the huge skull masses that go all the way down their backs. And with this increase, they’re able to control the other “species” of human. Ultra muscular yet dim witted and fiercely aggressive, yet able to be controlled by the hyper intelligent beings. So they do all the hunting and such, building, etc. through telepathy and I fairly sure they have telekinesis as well. So this video backs up the story in which he encounters the far greater intellectual species, and a dumbed down yet far more fast and strong species. It was based on a very popular book, by the same name, so it’s either The Time Machine, or just Time Machine. Well worth seeing, not worth buying. But if you have seen it, you’ll see the connection here.

@@RavenCloak13 He never stated the studies came from the US or what the percentage of men interviewed prefered blue eyes. Also I doubt even among whites that blue eyes is the most desirable, let alone minorities. I doubt minorities were even interviewed, as that would skew the results. The claim sounds more like an assumption than anything else.
@RavenCloak13
@RavenCloak13 3 жыл бұрын
Karla Holland Yeah no, you immediately assumed that to. America or Europe not to mention again, minorities. That wouldn’t change jack fuck all by basic math. Again, your assuming not White people are the minorities in this just like me. You also severally underestimating the influence of Hollywood and such. To make people seem nicer they photoshop people to have blue eyes such as the WWE doing that with one of their stars named Roman Reigns and they do that with more stuff cause blue eyes are seen as kinder cause the color blue is associated with nice things or it’s more striking cause brown and black eyes are rather normal and common. Basic math, rare gene, color association, we both assumed a population of mostly White people are the vast majority and assuming every other ethnicity is a minority and the influence of media that people consume create the very basic logic of this.

Once we visit and colonize mars human evolution will start up again to adapt to the strange atmosphere and gravity. Human evolution may have halted on earth, but it will continue elsewhere. That begs the question, will the human evolve to a point where they can't even be considered a human, but a new species all together?

+Yeal Horowitz actually chances are that if we actually DO make it to the point where we're colonizing the galaxy, our technology will have advanced to the point that even those conditions don't represent any selection pressure. Take an extreme case for example, if we all become cyborgs/androids, with fully synthetic bodies (still made to look like average humans, because beauty standards and all that) there would of course be no room for biological evolution, how much would that take? hundreds or even thousands of years? sure, but it's still far less than the tens or hundreds of thousands that it takes for biological evolution, let alone changes drastic enough to become unrecognizable by current human standards.
