This animated avatar tech is really exciting to me even though I'm not into that streaming culture. It's never been faster or easier to create original animated content, and it's amazing. But is animated avatars for streamers the best we can do? VR software can easily be adapted to "film" high quality animated productions. Motion capture animation is now accessible enough to work for independent creators on a budget. This can be a revolutionary advancement for the field of animation.

Been floating an avatar idea for a bit, without getting too into it I guess the best description is a "mechanical devil" but not so much a robot. Mechanical in appearance but not in nature. I've got some ideas in mind and a few rough sketches of similar designs from before v-tubers were a big thing, just need to figure out a final look and start getting it onto a physical medium. Just to leave my comment on your work with Hacker though, this is amazing and it's awesome to see that you all worked together to help them like this.

My VTuber is a girl possessed by a chaotic neutral ghost who just really enjoys being the center of attention and adventuring, though the host she possessed is usually a very quiet and self kept person who likes to write stories.

And tbh makes me really tempted to look into the whole vtuber stuff to try and setup/make/pay someone to make one for myself, since I feel like it really could be a ton of fun since my normal face usually is furrowed in concentration, but would work really well with an avatar, especially since it would work much better when I get surprised or I celbrate. I know that I'm really late to this video to answer the question at 15:30 but I still absolutely want to talk about this. I have a character I made a while ago called Dark, who is filled with his own personality and his own ways of expressing that personality to others. He doesn't really enjoy many things and acts like he doesn't care(when in reality he does care for other people). The reason why I think he would be a good character for becoming a vtuber is mostly due to his negative attitude he is prone to having, and so it would be amazing, personally, acting out this character and having moments like him being ticked because they can't beat this one hard level on a video game. I also really enjoy the thought of making unique expressions for him, since he has this scar on his face that glows whenever he's feeling mad or something similar. Overall, I just think that if I wanted any characters I have made or thought of making, I think my character Dark would be the most interesting one for me to use.
