Sophie, you’re the most candid, and humble KZbinr I’ve had the pleasure of watching for years now. You seem to lead a very fulfilling life with your husband, and your work. Even though I don’t buy as near as much as you when it comes to luxury I still feel like people are questioning how I afford it. The truth is that my husband and I were extremely careful in our early days together. It’s only the past five to ten years that we’ve felt comfortable to spend on ourselves. We haven’t had a mortgage in years and we’ve also been able to buy a second home for when we retire. We feel confident enough in our financial status that we know we can spend without going into debt. I would advise everyone to put your future in mind before spending too much or anything on luxury. This is coming from someone who is closely approaching 60.😖😖😖

Can you maybe share how were you able to save for a second house? I'm trying to save for a second house, (don't have the first one anymore) and with the new market and everything else, it seems every time I get closer to anywhere near it, something comes up and I need to restart.

Love hearing advice from you Sophie. As you mention, the key to everything is to first know what you want, figure our how you're gonna get it step by step, and then put in the work and stay consistent and motivated. It sounds so easy but the hardest thing in life is deciding what you reaaaaally want. At the moment I am doing my research for my master thesis and deciding on the theme of the thesis (aka WHAT I WANT to do with my thesis) is one of the hardest things I have ever encountered in my academic experience so far. It all ties back to having a very deep level of self-knowledge and confidence that most of us struggle with our entire lives.

it takes tenaciousness and hard work. You need to be a goal setter and get out there and beat down the bushes. You have to know what you are doing. Most of us haven't a clue how to work for ourselves. I would spend a lot of time in preparation for teaching my kindergarten class. I felt I did a good job at that but it didn't make me any more money. Whatever I did helped me and the kids but no one ever said, "good job" Denisa. You are doing a good job. Thank you for what you are doing. NO ONE!! Did I stay at that job? NO. They took all my efforts and hard work and my pouring myself out to my class and sh# on it. It was damn hard to start again. I sometimes got to where I said, I don't think I have another new start in me.

I am indecisive and annoyed at price increases and what did they change… I just want a nice pair of long Tall pants that don’t wrinkle and my favorite design they went and cheapened the fabric and upped the price and no longer do TALL length.
