Question. Add stain to wax and apply, after fire, color of wax will Show up?
@BillvanGilderPottery Жыл бұрын
Yes. The stain color will remain after the wax burns away.

I add about one shot of clean water to about 2 cups of resist emulsion. This thins out the flow of the emulsion when brushed on making the application smooth & well defined. And, it doesn't seem to lower the resist quality of the waxed areas when they've dried.

Bill, when you dip these pieces in the glaze, do you find that a lot of the glaze sticks to the wax? Do you wipe it off?

Is that the clay mixing with the wax?

What white glaze (or slip) did you use?

Hi Bill. Thanks for sharing! I am considering purchasing one of these brushes, specifically for wax resist. Just like this video, I am looking for a nice smooth transition like “grasses”. Is there one that you suggest? I.e. Large or Med. Squirrel hair decorating brush?
