My man I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH. This is DEFINITELY in my top 3 most important FX trading videos. You are practically dishing gold to us. It really is so valuable. The little tips, marrying your trend line to the most recent structure, steep flags vs flat flags, the way you move from the Daily to the Hourly, so clean, so precise. I'm still on the 15th minute in the video but I have taken soooo many notes and found so much benefit. Really appreciate it man. Your videos have sparked me to literally change my life. I used to be fairly disciplined on Fx about 2 years ago, but gradually just found comfort in my job and the discipline declined. Your videos have helped me turn this decline around, focus on day to day processes, use the 'easier' days to kill off more goals and tasks so that when the tough days come you already have that momentum and confidence in yourself to bulldoze through. Its incredible. Thank you so much. I really think this turn around will take me to where I want to be with my life. @@siphelelempofana2806 go through this guy Michael Bamber's page, he has a lot of videos on it. With backtesting, I actually found that my performance was bad as opposed to live trading. I then dove deeper and found that when backtesting, I tend to get too zoomed into the lower timeframe. I don't know why, guess its coz I was playing the market at my pace. Maybe that could be why you're struggling with backtesting. Do backtesting at the same time as Demo trading and compare results. Hlampe untswempu nje. 💪

Thank you so much for this mate. It is months later but I am back on this video, working on my own backtesting process. Trying to refine the actual process I follow, and your video is proving very valuable in this regard. I find immense value on such videos where you go into deep detail of your trading related processes. Everybody places trades on the platform, but whats sets traders apart is what they do besides the placing trades and trailing stops etc.

What a brilliant piece of analysis and very well managed. All your videos give so much value. One thing i noticed and that was I think you didn't move your stop to break even at 1:1, which looked like it may have been a stop out on that single spike up, instead moving to BE at lower structure line. Previously I recall you explaining you tend to be less aggressive with the stop if you are at the top of outer structures. Thanks very much for sharing, all the best Michael.

Michael - I have a few spreadsheets I could share with you that you could give away to everyone. Like you I feel like we should give back to the universe. I have literally no interest in selling anything but I do like to give back. (1) win / loss spreadsheet for testing strategies with multiple formulas to see cashflow and percentages. (2) Trading diary spreadsheet similar to your ASR but much deeper all built into a spreadsheet with tons of formulas and additional features such as income data based on PIPS and emotion-mood tracking per trade. (3) Backtesting spreadsheet with very in-depth data tracking for many data points including strategy names, indicators used, etc.

Hi Michael. Thanks for making these videos. Have you backtested whether moving your stop to breakeven after a 1% move in your favour costs you money in the long run? I am a full time trader and with my method backtesting has proved that breakeven stops reduce my long term profits. I think this would likely be the case for all traders. I understand that moving to breakeven can help psychologically in that it will smooth out some of the variance. But maybe now you are having some consistent success you can deal with the ups and downs better and would find just leaving your stop in place would generate a better return over the longer term?
