7:02 I'm still waking up and pretty low rated (and have long since forgotten what my actual rating is, since it's been close to 20 years since my last rated game), so I needed several minutes paused at the position to understand the beauty of R-b1. Most of the beauty was covered in the remaining 27 seconds of the video, but there are 2 other things I noticed while having the position paused. 1. Not only can the Knight not take the hanging Rook, *the Knight can't move away from d2* without dropping the Queen, so a move like N-f1 (interference against black's threat of R-g1#) also doesn't work. 2. Trying to create an escape square by moving the h2 pawn to h3 or h4 also doesn't work. Black simply trades Queens, then follows up with R-g1+. When white is forced to play K-h2, black follows up with N-f3, which is checkmate because white's Knight had to move from d2 to e4 for the Queen trade, and is no longer guarding f3. Hopefully I'm not missing anything silly in lines where white doesn't recapture black's Queen, but I get the feeling that, if I had missed anything in those lines, white would have no reason not to take the hanging Rook. Absolutely gorgeous position.

(being 1900 lichess) It's extremely hard for me to think such moves even it would have been served as a puzzle, applying such moves in a real game is too hard... You explained the things very clearly and conceptually ❤

1st like❤❤ great game, fischer's bishops were just slicing and the last blow Qd7 was so satisfying. I saw the move and literally screamed ooooooooohhhhhhhh... It was such a nice move man great... You also played really well in the Fischer's spirit. #gauriforworldchampionship
