I started Photography nearly 4 years ago, I'm only 18 now, and I'm now wanting to push it as a full time job travelling and stuff in that nature, also filming too. And hopefully my girlfriend catches on as well as she's just as interesting and same age too. It's amazing job

It‘s so crazy to think you‘re ‚only‘ 23 - just imagine where you will be in 5 or 10 yearssss!! So cool. I only wish I had followed my childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker and photographer earlier. The only regret in life I will have have haha

I’m applying a lot of that to my music lately as well. A majority of my other musician friends only are doing paying gigs (they’ve been in the scene long enough they can) personally I have never been paid for a gig in my 8 years of playing live around my city. I been slowly leveraging open mic nights at bars to get the name Clayton Turner in their heads. Yeah I’ve got some debt to pay, yeah I’ve still live with my parents, and yeah I’ve never made a cent with my music/original content, but I know that one day I will (as long as I never stop). My friends say it’s unsustainable, but I work slinging tacos to pay all the bills. I’m going to continue doing what I’m doing until I’m 100% a professional musician. I’ve already got one part down. I am a Musician!

I'm in the same position as you were at business school, but not sure where to start with learning basics and so on. I'd love to know what things you did to learn/teach yourself photography/filmmaking concepts etc. if it wasn't through any course. Love your videos!

You’re awesome. I love this. A lot of what I’ve done to build my photography and design business directly lines up with what you’ve mentioned as well! There’s been substantial growth over the past few months, but it’s taken a lot longer to be in the right place to do it. Keep killing it!

Hey Sterling, great video. I was wondering how do you go about voice processing for these videos. What considerations do you have on the environment when recording and how do you edit your voice post recording to give it such clean sound? Thanks.
@sterlinggrinnell5 жыл бұрын
Alberto Castillo G hey! Just a good mix and a little compression! I don’t do too crazy much for KZbin! But the mic is really high quality so that makes it easier 😉
@BetoIssues5 жыл бұрын
@@sterlinggrinnell Really? I have an omni-directional mic, similar to yours (probably lower quality) but I struggle a bit with the noise when recording voice-overs and such for my videos. Thanks for the answer, I'll check it out keeping it simple.
