This story reminds me so much of my early and mid 20s. I got depressed and was drinking every weekend and a few times during the week. I was constantly brooding and my artwork started to get very dark. I became disinterested in a lot of things and became very cynical and negative. I feel that when I started blogging and submitting my art to magazines things turned a corner. I started playing with video and KZbin again and quit my job and became a FullTime freelancer and with more time on my hands I decided to start being consistent with making KZbin tutorials. I definitely relate to that space you were in where you didn’t feel in control. I feel I created my brand in response to my desire and need to take control and ownership of something in my life.

I got so emotional listening to you as I resonate with your story so much! I was miserable working as a stage actress in NYC in my early twenties and I had a similar moment while sitting on a bus going to my day job where it hit me like a ton of bricks: I have to change my life. I always ask myself if I am even worthy of becoming a KZbinr and is it even worth trying? Im SUPER proud of you, Cathrin. Thank you for sharing. I just "started" my youtube this year too and hope for the same success. I have so many ideas. I have shot so much stuff over the years. I wanna share it all on my channel but it my "niche" or the one that "hit" was cooking videos.
