Hey, Ghosts weren't that bad Except for the part where they only had Lick... And the only Ghost types were also Poison types so their one weakness (was it 1...? It was either that Ghost was weak to Psychic, or Bug was...) was an inaccessible one... And the singular line of 3 Ghost types... were all special attackers ...Okay yeah it sucked but Gengar was good, okay?

The way you make a whole adventure out of this is really entertaining. The human version of the designs always feels creative and how they can still express the Pokémon itself and shows their own personality too. Peyonce in their own way feels really endearing. I really like Nina's skin tone and face expression.

I remember my first pokemon run was basicslly one of these headcanon story runs, like it was still Pokémon themed but the lore is May is an artificial human replacing the original May (Who IS still alive but fell into a mystery dungeon universe), made using a heavily modified strain of Pokerus based on Deoxys allowing them to understand pokemon. But they're a mute freak able to predict the future through the latent psychic potential of... well, being a walking virus (like Deoxys, really), and so can "try again" after every lost so long as they save a reminder in their journal (Headcanon for how saving works lets goo) , Latios basically watches over this trainer, the cosplay Pikachu literally being the first Pokémon actually effected by this strain (what? Gave them the trainers name), turns out this Norman was once a Johto professor before Birch who was responsible for creating Porygon while on a trip to Kanto, getting the attention of Giovanni for creating something considered a Pokémon, and thus he was involved in the Mewtwo project. This is really just the story built off Hoenn, i actually played OR first, then X&Y to RBY to S&M.

29:07 This one is interesting. Surf is a higher power move, STAB, and super effective _twice._ Rhydon only has 30 base special to take the hit. Even so, if you plug it into the RBY damage calculator, it only does around 60-70%… It turns out that enemies in RBY don’t have “Stat Experience,” so overall damage is somewhat higher than predicted. (In this case, the “somewhat” is being multiplied by 4.5, so it’s pretty dramatic.) Rhyhorn’s damage is held back by it’s moves. It’s moves are pitifully weak for level 30s (1.5x tackle…), and neither benefit from STAB. An 80 base power ground move would be enough to usually KO. Rock Throw would even guarantee it, though that doesn’t help the type advantage argument as much.

I was gonna draw while watching this video but I was so distracted by the video that I hardly put pencil to paper! It felt like I was exhausted on the journey with you! I really felt each and every time you beat a Gym Leader! Pokémon Red looks really tough to be honest - I couldn't believe that after all that grinding and fighting NPCs that you would have been at least level 50 but you were like 20 levels behind Blue at the end? That's insane to me! I mean, I guess I would call that "bad game design", but I haven't played it so I don't really know. Anyways, I absolutely had a blast! I love how you just drew yourself a trainer design since the game wouldn't let you pick a girl avatar! I felt that your unique design added a lot - I would do it in the future if I were you! I am also a huge Bulbasaur fan so I was thrilled that you chose him ♥️

I'd take machamp honestlyyyyyy they would have a giant hammer with a star as their weapon. The special attack is like moon spiral heart attack, Machamps make their hammer big as a star and smash their foes, with inmense collateral damage (leaves a massive star shaped crater) it's only used in critical situations *I just made a whole character xd brb gotta make a ref sheet*

In case anybody hasn’t said it yet, I highly suggest a Moemon Rom hack so you can live out your true Magical Trainer dreams. Mega Fire Red is the best, with Pokémon up to Gen 5, but it does have a surprisingly tough difficulty spike at the end of the game.

I had mentioned moemon the last time I did a Magical Girl adventure. And while I think the sprite work is impressive and creative, the point really is to change the type of pokemon I use from my normal playthroughs. And I like getting to design the Magical Pokemon Kids myself :)

Really enjoyed this getting a second part althought I would have prefered something like X/Y over one of the originas. Watched the first one at least 10 times while breeding on my old Nintendo 3ds and since my little brother startet his journey recently as well I made him a perfect iv/ev pokemon with right nature and ability and I needed something relaxing in the background. The timing of me finding this was straight up perfect.
