It’s baffling that they don’t think to put Yang in more black. Like, give her a cool biker jacket with her emblem in yellow on the back. It’s better than putting her in shit brown jackets. The two times they didn’t put her in a brown jacket are the Vol. 2 design (black) and her Atlas design (reddish brown or just a dark blood red). The Sinnoh ranking is very interesting, and I completely agree with you on Cynthia being number one. Her design is just iconic, and the perfect placement of colors is smart. Also, I now know what to do for Bretha's colors for her redesign (by extension, Aaron too) because I was struggling with coloring her, so now I am going throw her white colors off the window like how Morty did with his blue lol. To be fair, I think there's more nuance to the whole Adam getting shanked thing, mostly that I think the question of "was it self-defense or murder" is kinda irrelevant. For lack of a better way to phrase it, murder is okay when it's done to a sufficiently heinous or dangerous person, even if it's through what could be considered duplicitous or dishonorable means. That's the sort of distinction that separates something like the assassination of Gandhi from the assassination of Wilhelm Kube. While "the ends justify the means" is often used as a filler statement for a villain, it's also actually true in quite a few contexts, and I think this definitely is of of them

Not only the looks but also the depth of the character and their representation in the animation. This show I was constrantly flip flopping at what character was my favorite almost all hit some internal string that made me love them. And there are so many, when the hashiras got introduced I was in total awe. It comes over like its done in a formulaic way in the whole show and it works.

All it takes to stop the assassination of Ironwood is if Team RWBY had just told the truth. You know how things could have been different if they just trusted Ironwood and worked with him instead of against him? He'd be like, "oh no! We have to change the plan!" Jaune would input his sense. "Well the curse is only active if Salem continues to not see the value of life. If we can just stop her for a minute if she retaliates with the forces of Grimm. We can take advantage to destroy hordes of Grimm at her disposal." Which would have Ironwood go, "we can actually defend Mantle." Team RWBY goes in to deal with Salem while Ironwood's army holds the perimeter of Mantle. The plan works because they are united and not seperated. Salem gets away but Mantle as well as Atlas get to see another dawn. However, Team RWBY kept too much from him and broke his trust. Thanks heroes.

I agree with a lot with what you said in this video, especially on how good the first designs for the girls were, well except for Yang (she really is an afterthought). For Yang i feel like they either need to lean in more on the biker aesthetic for her or for her overall color palette have more blacks than mud brown so that the yellow and gold can pop and really make her hair, eyes, and gauntlets be the very first things you see. With Blake, i think you hit her design issues right on the head. Blake's best designs are her sleeveless ones. But I feel like keeping her design simple would've helped tremendously. With Ruby and Weiss, their issues are so blatantly obvious its ridiculous. They both look like they're trying to look more mature and its looping right back around to overcomplicated, not their style and overall unrealistic. And with RT changing her fighting style from a supportive battle mage (using her glyphs) to a summoner, her rapier is kinda an eye sore to me. Like its a really good weapon but it doesn't match to her current fighting style. I really enjoyed this video (even though its 2 years old). It really got my brain thinking on what could've been, how the designs failed, and potential ways to make them better.

Maybe they could have played around with how the triplets wear their shirts and vests to give them a bit more personality. Cilan could stay the same, being the refined, polite type who would care the most about keeping a prim and proper appearance. Cress I always imagine being a bit more cheeky/flirty, so I could see him with his vest and shirt buttons being more undone to give him a bit of sexy cleavage. And Chili as the hot-head would probably roll up his sleeves to allow more arm movement. Just some quick ideas.
