I switched nurse specialties from MedSurg Oncology to ER. For some reason medspa’s gravitate toward ER & OR specialties nurses. I signed up for a beginner botox review & had my first interview yesterday. I know the certification doesn’t equal you’ll get the job. I’ve decided I will not get my NP until it’s absolutely necessary. Excited to be on the aesthetic nurse injector journey. 🥳

Empower Institute offers injection training as long as you have an LVN at minimum.

The decision is up to you. You can become an injector with a RN license, (depending on which state you’re in) NP, PA, MD, DDS. PA is cool because you’re able to switch specialities without having to go back to school. It’s up to what you want to do in the future with your degree

Go for aesthetics! It’s yours and waiting for you. Schedule varies, depends on where you go. You can work full time or part time. Lots of places are M-F/Saturday but you’ll work maybe 4 or even 5 days out the week. If you’re part time you’ll work 2-3 days out the week

Hey love the video! This is what I’m curious about. Can I just get a certification at Laser institute of technology to be an injector? Or do I have to be an RN? I’m seeing a lot of vlogs of girls saying you need to be a nurse to even do this.

Depending on which state you’re in, youll need to be a nurse or higher. Some states require you to be a NP, PA, or MD. There are some states that are flexible. For example, I’m in Texas and in Texas they allow Estheticians to inject under the direct supervision of a MD. Also you don’t have to got to NLI to get certified you can go anywhere that’s accredited to get certified. In addition, you don’t necessarily need to be certified to inject, some places will train you on neurotoxins and fillers as long as you have the appropriate license.

Depending on the state you live in RNs can only inject…in the state of Texas an esthetician can inject under direct supervision of a medical director, but I wouldn’t bank on that I would just enroll in a nursing program (ADN or BSN) that way you have more options (BSN) will give you more options than ADN tbh

I’m not quite sure what Georgia laws are…because some states like Florida you would need to be a NP to inject. It varies I would check with the board of nursing for your state

What did your schooling look like prior?

I earned my BSN degree at a 4 year university. I did 2 years of undergrad and 2 years of nursing school at the same university. After I worked at the hospital and then got certified to become an injector. You do not need to work at a hospital to become an injector; however, working at a hospital Deff opens doors for you if aesthetic doesn’t work out…you can work at different specialities or even travel nurse since you already have experience from working at a hospital…hope that helps! :)

@@milanwrld nursing is a great field to go in, you don’t have to work in a hospital as a nurse. You can work from home, work private practice, work in retail, work over seas, work for a cruise, work as a school nurse, and more. The options are endless! Deff research 🤍 whatever you heart is telling you take the leap.
