I am an acrylic pouring addict, without a doubt. Playing with colors, testing out new fluid art techniques, brands, sizes & collaborating with other abstract fluid artists; is the best. Since I started this journey I feel more balanced in my work and passion. If you see these fluid painting tutorials and feel like, this is something for me: go for it! The fun thing about fluid painting is, that even though you do exactly the same, the outcome is different everytime. Also everybody has a different view of composition, colorcombinations and the way of doing a technique, what makes and keeps it so interesting to watch. Oh sweet Rinske. I am so very happy for your dreams coming true. Your dad is proud of you. I know your feelings. I was a potter in college. My dad would sit on the floor cross legged and touch each of my pieces,commenting on weight, glazes, encouraging me. He passed in 97. And like you, he didn’t see my work & 50 years later with my loving husband ( not the first one) created a studio for me in our garage. I’ll be 71 next month. Absolutely wonderful news!! Congratulations. You have been my inspiration since the first time I saw your video. Your TED talk video got me very emotional as I share the same experience as you, I too would be so overwhelmed when I walk into a paint store, but still would be so amazed at all the colours and tools available. I just did not know how and where to start. My dad too was my greatest influence in my art since I was a teen, we did projects together and talked alot about art. He once bought me for Christmas a Windsor & Newton oil painting box set with a picture on the hard canvas. I held onto to it foolishly as I thought I was not ready to use such a professional painting kit. Over the years I lost it .. oh how I regret not using and painting it. He passed 27 years ago, and I too wish he could see what I do now. When I first saw your video I went out and got some paints and started my art journey. I am still learning but have so much fun. I have moved onto resin, and now blooms. Wish you all the success !!!

Your story is inspirational and I have similar story with my dad. Im pushing forward for myself and for him as well. I want him to look down a be proud of me. My father was a contractor and I went to work with him and learned how to fix things. However most importantly to create something beautiful out of nothing (an empty room) which now I will relate to as my blank canvas.
