i dont blow dry, i shampoo once or twice a week, i brush my hair before shower always, i never straighten my hair, never brush when its wet and thats about it man, nothing special. 90% of the time i wear it down, i dont like to tie it up. And if and when i do tie it i always do it loosely.

you might be washing it too much. ive always known that you should wash the hair every couple of days, so thats what ive always done. i wash it two, maybe three times a week at most, you should try that too, maybe it will help. my hair falls out easily too, at this point ive gotten so used to it that it doesnt bother me. my hair gets oily as well pretty much on the second day after a shower, so it just depends on what your definiton of greasy is - if its too much for you and it is as disgusting as you say it is then you should just cut it. my hair is longer than three years old at the moment and it feels like a burden, theres some days where i really want to cut it. so yea if its not comfortable for you dont grow it

look man i can share my tips and advice but im not a professional or anything so what i would suggest is to look around the internet. im sure theres been others like you and chance is youve got your questions answered by better and more reliable sources than me. i will say one thing though - its important to stay healthy. try to better yourself, lead a more positive and happy life and with that your hair will hopefully also get better.

i guess just keep going man, theres positives in your hair growing slow, a lot of people want really long hair fast and they dont enjoy the growing process, i really wanted long hair as well and now that i have it (its been 3 years) i dont feel the same way anymore, the hype for long hair kinda dies down. but for tips i recommend washing once or twice a week with shampoo, not more. try to brush it too, when u feel like its getting tangled and it needs it. my hair gets tangled up pretty fast so i try to brush it out everyday now, and definitely before a shower. other than that, try to minimalise heat, i rarely blow dry. try to get a few trims every now and then because theyre important as well. myself ive gotten only one trim in the three years and my hair is like shit :D and yeah u get the gist of it, quality shampoos and conditioners, masks and stuff like that is also beneficial. most important thing is to try and live a healthy life, dont stress too much about the hair and dont worry about it falling out as well, thats natural. good luck man
