Great video love the up close of the fry inside the eggs so cool to see!! Keep up the breeding you’ve really been doing a great job breeding several different fish now and do a great job of giving us the best chance at mimicking what you did to hopefully have some success as well

microworms and then grindal worms work very well as well and are easier and cheaper to culture. I love your videos BTW.

which is smaller Microworms or Baby Brine shrimp? thank you 🙏

@@ShadowWolf184 Late response, but microworms are quite a bit smaller.

I got 26 German blue rams super cheap 2 days ago. They have started pouring up today (at least 2 pairs). I’m going to pick my favourite pair and then 2 backup pairs and 2 spare females and I’ll put the favourite pair in their own breeding tank and the backups and spare ones in my 55gal community/betta sorority tank and the rest will go to a friend. I’m super excited about breeding them.

Incredible Sir. Congratulations on your success. .👏👏👏Can you share how long it takes to grow out the rainbow to 1 inch?

Great video! Have you considered breeding green neon tetras? They're harder to breed the normal neons & there isn't much info on it
@MakeMoreFish2 жыл бұрын
Interesting.. I might do that then. I'm working with emperor tetras right now but will be looking for other species afterward.

Hi lowell, would overcooked egg yolk be a good fry food? The particles are very small, arround the same size if now smaller as hikari first bites. And it is full of protains + fats
@MakeMoreFish Жыл бұрын
Probably, Ive heard it mentioned many times but I haven't tried it myself. I've talked to at least one very successful breeder who uses powdered (dehydrated) egg yolk as a fry food. Sounds worth a try :)

How long on frypowder before they were big enough for brine? Love the videos 👍🏻
@MakeMoreFish2 жыл бұрын
The first couple of weeks or so. They do fine on a fry powder for longer than that but I like switching to BBS at the soonest opportunity

How long until they grow to around 3 inches/adult size?

off topic question but i just bought 20 neon rainbow from online, and i said to get all males, i only got 3 from the looks of it, and they are all juvenile, does the males develop red fins early on or do they look like female and then colour up when they reach a certain size? help please
@MakeMoreFish Жыл бұрын
I recall my males' fins turning red pretty early on, but that's only one anecdotal experience.

What should you feed if you dont have brine shrimp? Can you continue with the fry powder?
@MakeMoreFish Жыл бұрын
You can just keep feeding dry food with an increasing size. First a powder, then fine grains, then nano pellets etc. First bites might be a good next step after the powder. Finely crushed flakes maybe.

I have super hard water. Live in FL. PH about 7.8, TA 120, KH 8. New to the hobby. Just bought a 55g tank. Does anyone know a good quality online breeder. I'm thinking rainbows and platys. Also wondering if I could add CPDs with those fish
