It would be a LOT of work, but for the Matrioshka Brain, you may want to take a look at Stellaris Gigastructures mod. The Matrioshka Brain there has an amazing design. Also, probably for outer layer, cause cold, green for middle layers, cause warm, and amethyst for inner layers cause hot

If you want higher world height with no extra lag, there's a mod called cubic chunks that allows for infinite world height on 1.12, you will have to sacrifice all of the new blocks, though, and anyone who wants to use the world would also need cubic chunks.

For the people who are curious... Dyson spheres and Dyson rings are feasible in their function however in reality they are a bad idea as one stray object colliding with it can basically ruin the whole thing. This is why the better alternative is called a Dyson Swarm. Millions of solar arrays around a star somehow sending that power back to a civilisation. If a object collides with it, for the most part the rest of the swarm will survive. This is actually achievable by humanity technologically but sending power back is the real issue. I would suggest you watch a channel called Kurzgesagt in a nutshell. Mega structures or stellar engineering are as fascinating as they are collosal in scale.

I may have played a bit too much Stellaris with giga structures mod, but imo it's the first sphere that should be matryoshka brain, at least it's first layer. Now the third sphere IS the Dyson sphere (again, according to my Stellaris knowledge), and probably is one of the coolest designs I ever saw!

I'd love to see you build a Birch World around a Black Hole. You walk on the outside of it, and it has layers going down and down to just above the black hole (and up and up on into infinity, you will never be truly done building)

Add the gravity mod and set a negative gravitational pull in the center of the star so that you can walk around the sphere Also, with the light tunnels, you could have one of each go all the way through giving each one, two openings.

A Stellar Engine is a megastructure used to steer a star (and everything orbiting the star) through space, not a megastructure to harness the power output of a star. That is a Dyson Sphere.

if you can live on the dyson sphere i wouldn't call it a dyson sphere, i would call it a Dyson World. the "rings" dyson sphere i would just call dyson rings. as to the Matrioshka brain one there is a good visualization in the Gigastructural engineering mod in Stellaris but i don't know how "distinct" it would for sure, also i like the emerald blocks but all 3 of them glow with what i would call a "Clark-tech" color, absolutely stellar video!

You could have Emerald, Blue Ice, and Amethyst 'vents' for each axis/pole set. Emerald for X, Blue Ice for Y, Amethyst for Z. Or similar. (so basically like the six reference points for a three dimensional object.

You can use open cubic chunks to increase the world height to infinite and some other mod to increase render distance. That would allow building structures thuosands of blocks in height or diameter.

Matrioshka Brain would actually have layers increasing in thickness since you want to absorb the most amount of radiation but have temperatures spread out (because radiation is energy and materials will radiate heat when there's a conversion because thermodynamics), also the layers would go through the whole light spectrum (depends on a star some emit more X-rays or Microwaves) The first layer that isn't just white would be blue (yes I know violet exists but there isn't a violet block in Minecraft that looks okay) since it would go through the whole visible spectrum and end at dark red going off to black because of the less energized spectrum being invisible. But i know that adding more layers is kind of impossible since the building limit exists :( The tunnels could be used as a plasma channels that would take plasma from the star to make it not go through the Red Giant phase if it's a Main Sequence star and add materials to the star to fuel it. Also the tunnels should be in color the most abundant section of the light spectrum (white would be the best at making it the coolest but then you don't get a lot of energy from it so it's a balance) Another cool structure you could build is a Blackhole Energy Generator aka Blackhole Bomb aka A Lot of Mirrors Sphere
