Hi Natalie, this is amazing! I'm in awe of the thought and work you've put into making the greenhouse and sharing your process with us! It looks fantastic! We've been thinking about getting a greenhouse but our property layout and situation means no one spot will work for all seasons because of the way the sun moves and in mid summer the sun gets super burny which is not great for seedlings in a greenhouse. But you have inspired me with your mobile greenhouse, and this could work wonderfully for our context. Thank you for taking the time to film this and share your process with us. ❤

Nice! I have found over time that if you go to your local lumber yard or locally owned home improvement stores instead of Lowes or Home Depot or the like, you will find the prices are not that much different and there is usually someone who has clue how to do things, use tools or where something is or an alternative material. I can't count how often I have asked for a common item and had the "clerk" whip out the phone and say "we don't carry that" because his description was not exactly like the computer! FACT: when I built my 3 car garage, I saved $3000 over the box stores and had one piece of bad lumber. They selected and delivered my materials AND replaced that twisted 2X4!. Same with my 12 by 16 foot deck, I saved nearly $1000. Try it. BTW I love the wheeled idea, gonna do it!!!!!

When I build this I'm going to add a push bar to the outside so I can pull and push it without putting pressure on the sheets. I don't want to break them when it's finally loaded with wet soil by pushing too hard on them

Maybe I missed it, but predrill your holes one size smaller than your screws. It can help with your bit not getting stuck. Maybe change the settings on your drill too, (more torque). Beautiful build, and what wonderful blessings to find on the side of the road! I look forward to seeing all the plant babies that will grow! Also.. I know you said it, but no clamps when cutting with the chop saw! (And just to help build your toolbox, a speed square will help with all the angles you ever need to build the pitch of a roof. They are absolutely amazing!).
@heyitsagoodlife4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you. I think you’re right. I’m wondering if my issue was that I was using an impact drill for the first part of the project so I could easily go between pre drilling and drilling but it was too much power. When I switched to a normal drill with high torque it was much better. Definitely a blessing. Thank you! Plant babies coming soon 🥰 Yassss. I need a speed square!! Thanks!
@np30084 жыл бұрын
And a skillsaw takes a little bit of practice, but once you learn the couple techniques required they are fabulous. A worm drive is large and kinda heavy, but it cuts exceptionally straight. A direct drive is super usable for awkward cuts. It's silly the amount of tools you end up acquiring, but they all have their use lol (You can also use a speed square to keep your cut straight while using a skillsaw). Again it takes some practice, but once you know which side of the line to always place your blade, it's hard to mess up. If you do feel the urge to practice always make sure the cut end can fall freely. If the blade binds it can be dangerous and can cause kickback. I enjoy your builds! Keep it up! 😊
