A lot of people have asked me to make a step-by-step tutorial and provide structure and material lists for my recent build and it flatters me that you do. I wanna explain why I don't do them and what we (yes, you and me) can do instead. 1st and foremost, I do my videos the way I enjoy content the most. I wouldn't feel myself doing otherwise. When I wanna learn something I usually just need to see how someone else did it, only needing step-by-step guides every now and then. That's how my brain works and it can make me desperate if I have to wait for explanations that I don't need. If I'm replicating something I usually just look at a picture, count structures and go back and forth until I nail it. I also see speedbuilds as a creative outlet too. Not just the build but the entire edit. And that's not something I'm willing to stop. The very reason I'm making content is because I want to live off my art. Yes, I've done tutorials but, and this take me to my second reason, I have done them for specific mechanics or simpler builds with a lot of repetition like the DNA. And they are not the best tutorials anyway since I can go too fast over something and people start complaining. The people that do step-by-step tutorials also focus on smaller and/or simpler builds. And they still put a lot of hours and effort in making their tutorials look nice, smooth and understandable. I am not a professional youtuber. I wish, that's what I'm aiming for, but I have to work. A build can take me a week or more to just build. A step-by-step edit could make my production process twice as long. I can't do 2 videos on the same build. One could kill the other or they could cancel each other. For my next videos I'm going to re-record during a livestream to test a few things. I know that re-building we can show how things are done without the back and forths of the creative process. I want to try ways of giving the tutorial gang, at least, unedited footage of the building process and, if you're up for it, during those livestreams you guys can help me make structure layouts and structure/resource counts. I'm currently finishing my next build and will livestream and record the re-build asap. See you there.

Definitely understandable, although you are a very unique builder so you will always be hounded on to post step by step tutorials. I will attempt to reconstruct something like this on official and will have a billboard with ur channel's name on it out of respect. For me personally having inspiration and discovering tricks to manipulate snap points is significantly more satisfying than just copy and paste block by block. Something as simple as an off camber A frame on an elevated base looks exponentially better than just the standard giant block of stone 99% of tribes use. Keep up the great work and I look forward to many more builds as the new ascendant maps release!

You are not normal, and God bless you for it. I wish builders like you existed in my city, proper. This is beautiful. And to see you pay almost as much attention to the videography and it's choreographing with the music, which is also excellent, is just such a treat. I don't normally enjoy build videos - but this, if my brain loses focus on any one of those three elements, I'm captivated by the other two at any given moment. Keep doing what you do, you've got it down. I love even those shifts where I get the sense your brain went, "ah heck, I hate this, gotta tear it down and start this section again, and again, and again." Glad you kept those in.

This is not a good build. This is a great build. This is an example of a fascinating exploration of a design in creative. This showcases many methods that people will be using in the future. And not just Aaron Longstaff followers using the diadem of wood in glass. The usage of quarter ceilings to create offsets (5:30) will probably become a standard technique. Same for the massive use of the triangle pieces which is likely to become a signature for "Sefiro Ultima style." The clear patterning of stone-wood with metal detailing makes the building come to life. But the best part of materials choice is how the angled glass was used well even considering the strange murky look of Wildcard's implementation of transparency. Transparent walls are not a native UE5 feature so was implemented by Wildcard for ASA. That look fits well with the color choices as shown be the careful paint detailing (8:30). Double layering the walls (7:48) was very clever. But there are a lot of techniques like that I doubt will work with clipping enabled or in survival and off the back of a Tapejara or grapple. There are always challenges like this when translating creative mode builds to survival, single player or officials. Including the limitations of player frustration with getting a snap point. Not much wasted space outside of the decorative rings. This build is fancy but has plenty of reachable spaces. Lofts for parking tames. The build is sized appropriately for fitting Industrial gear without mods to change sizes. That is often my major criticism of creative builders. The best builds should have utility in mind. This is a very high standard to meet Good builds can still unfit for use just not the best in my opinion. This build passes that standard with even the under-floor disco (24:30) a reachable tech power center basement. I would have led with speed build in the title to avoid people that expect a tutorial. People who are not creative builders may want something they can farm up a materials list for then drop down. Most the comments are either praise or asking for how to build. If I were invited to a large tribe or on a server and saw this build I would be highly impressed.
@SefiroUltima9 ай бұрын
I really appreciate your review and criticism. Not every day we find someone that takes time to look into our builds that is proportional to the time we spent building them. Utility is key for me definitely. A build should be relatable to players even if it's purpose is solely creative. As for the title, they are a work in progress as the channel is. I'm trying to gather both the speedbuild fanbase with the tutorial fanbase and it turns out to be harder than expected. Originally I wrote "how I built..." And changed it. But placing speedbuild in the beginning is not the focus of the video, it is what makes it unique which is the description of the build itself. Plus I kinda feel there's people out there that, regardless of reading speedbuild in the title, they will want a material list and a step by step because their brains and thought processes are plain different. Same reason why I struggle with even wanting to do step by step vids in the first place.

I haven't found a way of doing circles myself, other than 12-sided circles. Tho, Vlad made a video on how to make 24 sided circles. I'm not using that method cause it renders every foundation it's own foundation support system as opposed to the 1 support system we had with the fence foundations. Vlad also sent me a few vids of japanese builders using that method he showed to make 32+ sided circles. The builds are pretty interesting indeed.
