Picked up my 02 7.3 a year ago with 248,000 on her, strong heart and tested indeed. Love for these great machines is what drives our community. I've done a straight driveshaft, new front axle, two cracked wheels replaced, new gearbox & power steering pump, ac work, batteries, and I'm picking her up from the hospital in the morning after a trany-transplant from last week. Ya gotta want it & find a way to get it. Keep on rollin' & nice work! Impressive!

Hell yea man! I know you said you welder, but didn't know you were a Boilermaker. That's awesome! Much respect for your welding skills! I'm a second year apprentice Steamfitter for Local 434 in Central Wisconsin. I'm currently in stages of building my '96 OBS flatbed. Once I get done with it, I want to sell it to buy a 7.3 or 6.0 Super Duty. Just gotta say, I like what you're doing with the channel and enjoy watching you build your dream truck. Once I'm done with my apprenticeship, I hope to start building my dream truck too!

Use cash back credit cards then pay off card a day or two after purchase. This way you save more. Just spend what you have in your bank. A good one is Citi Double Cash. 2% cash back for all purchases. Stuff adds up over a year. Example you spend $20,000 a year in just everyday purchases....That is $400 back into your pocket.
@NoHalfAss

AADEN DOLAN thank you bud! I’m glad you enjoy my videos! And that’s very cool man! You can lift a 2wd 6 inches with a lift kit. Unfortunately if you want a bigger lift than 6 inches it has to be 4x4. It is possible to lift a 2wd higher than 6 inches but it will have to be all custom. They don’t sell kits for it.

@NoHalfAss 4 жыл бұрын
Ben B well It’s non union around here so I just applied at the company itself. Around here there’s not really a boilermakers union, it’s all non union private companies. I had a little over a year of welding experience when I applied. The industry is a little slow right now with everything goin on but you could try applying at some companies. Just google search boiler service companies in So Cal.

@NoHalfAss
@NoHalfAss 4 жыл бұрын
David Paniagua yes I have. I had a 2004 6.0 with a 2016 front end and loved it. But honestly I love the front end on my 7.3 as is and there’s lots of other mods I want more so if I do decide to do it, it won’t be for awhile. I’d rather do a front axle swap and a coil spring conversion first.

Robert divany there’s some similar work for sure. I thread pipe and run lines with valves and different fittings etc etc. but the boiler tube work you see at the end of the video is something we do that plumbers don’t. So it is a little different. But often similar work for sure!

This was me several years ago... But.. I don't drink , I don't smoke.. I don't party... When I was on the university I start working by my self.. and I always keep the bully thing of "ooh you don't drink..don't be a pussy "etc etc "ooh you don't party.. that's lame" but i didn't like it.. it wasn't for me.. and that saved me money.. . my mom sell "freezed chicken" Hudson and Tyson... I buy from her.. and delivered to 3 stores.. that's why a I got my first 7.3 , it was a 95 with a manual stick.. I load him with 100 boxes of freezed chicken hahaha Hudson or Tyson, they where 4,000 pounds on my bed.. and I got to delivered by my self... 100 cases each store.. it was a difficult job because I was my only employee haha I end up Whit 3 good stores and one small.. but I start to making money, I was going to be a veterinarian, but this small business got me interested.. then I start to sell eggs.. hahaha boxes of 360 eggs each.. so I made more money.. i buy my self a 94 Pontiac trans am , it was my dream car.. then I got a opportunity to upgrade to a 99 f250 7.3 and I go for it... I get robbed on my bussines but start a poultry farm.. I quit university.. and put all my effort to my bussines.. start little I grow a little too, then I got broke.. because contraband eggs were cheaper than produce them.. I lost 2 3rds of my bussines, sell my 99 f250 because I'm broke.. buy a Ford ranger diesel (in my country there are several options of diesel trucks) a 2.8td powerstroke ranger... Start my business again.. I start to selling chicken food hahaha for egg poultry.. I got a nice price for my farm so I sell to smaller farms too..years past and my farm got *stable , but my chicken food business got better...so I buy a 95 Cummins and load it with 8,000 pounds of grains for chicken on a trailer.. and start to sell them to other farms... Then I got another 2000 f250 7.3, my girlfriend start working with me, we load it with 4,000 pounds on the bed , two years later... Prices don't let us be competitive.. so give up that business but continue producing eggs , beside my farm I start working for a incubation plant, and my girlfriend took care of the farm, I love Chevy trucks and years early I buy a 88 Silverado, lt1 swap in, air suspension etc etc , almost 10 years later I traded for a 2003 Dodge Cummins , this was a good deal for me, because in my country (Guatemala ) this trucks are expensive and my Silverado was a mall queen.. it was beautiful but I couldn't work with it.. now I'm starting to see my young job getting paid.. I own my own land where the farm is.. not a big land but it's mine.. the farm bussines pays my month expenses, and sometimes I got to save a little , now I work for a bigger farm too, I see production... Egg production.. they give me so much liberties.. they trust me so much, even if I'm not a veterinarian or a expert, when there's no truck available unload my pick up with a trailer and load it with the production and help the company to get their product on time, no question ask I do it.. I even make a hand made trans oil cooler with pipes and a fan.. for long travels and traffic on my 99 7.3 . I buy things that are useful, I don't own any more Pontiacs or Camaros haha only a old 96 as Impala that I see as a investment, there's only one on my country and it's mine.. So I spect to sell him one day, needs paint and interior work.. but it will be done.
