How I Built My Dream Workbench | 4K - Tom’s Workshop

Before I got started on the ZX7R project, I wanted to make some upgrades to my workshop. The biggest job was designing and building a workbench that fit my space and needs exactly. Always looking for a way to save pennies, I managed to utilise the tool chest I already have.
With the help of an old friend Olly, a professional fabricator working in the TV/Film industry, we put together a nice sturdy bench.

This was filmed in December 2022 and good progress has been made since on the ZX7R, so it won't be a long wait for the next video.

Thanks Stuart, making good progress stripping it, though not decided yet how much to include in each video, I’d like to get it down to rolling chassis and engine so there’s a good chunk of disassembly!

Nice video again! And it's creating your own garage like that is really nice to do. I went with fixed workbenches. One tip I have is to put a sheet of stainless steel on the wooden top, the wood get's damaged quite quickly (at least in my garage :') )

Thanks mate! Yeah for sure, I had hoped to get a stainless steel top, but my budget wouldn’t quite stretch this time, but I planned it so adding one in later on should be straightforward!
