Thank you for the wonderful and educational information you share with your orchid videos. Regarding Dendrobium tangerine, can you please tell me the right medium to grow this particular orchid. Thank you so much for sharing orchid knowledge.

Thank you! As to the medium for those antelope Dendrobiums, I use a mix of bark, charcoal and perlite/sponge rock

Great informative video! You showcased 2 very beautiful dendrobiums. Florida definitely agrees with these plants! You are right that these are not for small spaces. Z display that lasts 3 months is most impressive. By the way, I'm a new subscriber. Greetings from Canada.

Not on the Den. tangerinum but Den. Touch of Gold has a not too pleasing fragrance due to johannis in the background.

What type of potting mix you have them in since you water them every day? Both are beautiful, love those colors.

I have to repot a Den antennatum Chartruse I bought in March. I paid $20 at the orchid show and I just cut the spike off. It has a ton of aerial roots but they may not all be alive. I lost the growers tag so no parental info. Your thoughts on a guess of which this might be, how big it'll get and pot or basket? Gosh, I just bought of those pretty blue ones, too.

I don't have a Dendrobium antennatum but according to Baker and Baker the size can vary from 8 to 51"....quite a big variation! 'Chartreuse' sounds like a clonal name. I checked and could not find an AOS award under that name. I must assume it is probably the specie though??? If that is correct, there is no parental name. Sorry I cannot be of more help to identify. I would pot the plant in as tight a pot as possible. Dendrobiums like very tight pots

Did you buy tangerinum from seedlings or mature plant? How do you like to buy orchid, from seedlings, or mature plant?
@orchidhouse3 жыл бұрын
I typically don't buy seedlings. I buy young plants that are either near blooming size or blooming size. Orchids are so slow growing anyway and they require so much patience as it is that I don't want to add to the waiting time :)
