I'm 68 years old and have fished since I was old enough to hold a fishing pole. In Richards's own way he has taught me so much about crappie, bluegill, and catfish. I was too wrapped up in the Bass fishing for so many years, spoiled with a nice Bass Boat that I finally had to sell. In de way we's be's sayin' it...he da man! :)

You oughta go fishin when ye can cause it’s gooooooood fer ya! It really is peaceful, it’s like therapy for me. You forget about all your troubles for a while and go into like a trance. You’re 100% focused on getting a bite. You’ve got the best teacher showing you how it’s done right here.

After a few months of watching all the fishing channels on KZbin, without a doubt this is the most entertaining and educational fishing channel there is by a long shot. Them Googan boys could learn a thing or two from the Machine! Thanks for everything you have taught me!
@mdfrank7234 жыл бұрын
I bet it doesn't seem like 4 years already from your first KZbin video to becoming an internet sensation! I gotta tell ya Richard, you have become my favorite all time fishin expert to watch. I am from Southern Indiana and am 61 years old. But during my late 20's to my late 40's I made two crappie trips a year in April and October to Lake Weiss. Not only do I love the quality of the fish from the lake, but the reason I came back year after year was because I kept meeting people just like you. Southern Hospitality at it's best, always made me feel so welcome and always willing to offer advice and like i'd known them all my life. I plan to start making those trips again soon. Richard, you are a genuine, honest, down to earth type of guy and boy does the world need more people like you! Keep up the great work, congratulations on all your success! I'll be ordering some t-shirts and a cap to help get your name and channel out there! Tight Lines my friend.

Richard in a big tricked out bass boat just wouldn’t be the same. He has upgraded his graphs. He doesn’t need LiveScope. Neither did Buck Perry, the father of structure fishing. He was fishing ledges when everyone else was still plugging the banks.

I spoke to you below the Guntersville dam on Wednesday the 19th. As I told you then I enjoy your channel and my grandkids love your antics very much. I wish that when you are making a video that you would add the date and time to it. I to try to study the weather and keep track of the barometric pressure and if you would date and time your video I could compare my records with your fishing to try to obtain a pattern for fishing. So if it’s no trouble thank you in advance for granting this one request . Andy Collins

one year i was under a bridge fishing like this minding my own business on a boat with my two buddies. Out of nowhere we hear this big crash and tires screeching---a car flies off the side of the bridge into the water right next to us. The person got out and we helped them into boat. But it was scary as hell.

Man, alive. I tell you what, he sure did put the "Did you quit crappie fishing?" question to rest. 🤣👍 Richard, I had ball this time. I remember being on them once like that in the tree tops on Watts Bar Lake. We were using 2-2.5 inch shiners and catching slabs straight under the boat about 2 feet over the tops of the tree they're in. We just drop em straight down with a light weight and let them swim. It was slab day. By the way, Richard. I haven't heard the name Yammerhammer in years. I used to have one. I've said it 2-3 times up here in the NotSoGreatAnymore Northwest and I always get funny looks like "What?"
