I love your outlook on books. As an avid reader, I never thought about how easy it is for me to sit down and read something that took someone years to research. They've done all the work for me. So true. As a LOUD Introvert☺, my goal to connect with people and learn to have intentional small talk as I travel. is a work in progress.

I had to pause and hold my heart because this is on point. I’ve been in transition since mid to late January. In isolation shifting. I knew that God was closing doors chapters and books (decades of cycles) I though it was due to me turning 30 this year Oh but God he’s healing me from affliction restoring me for all that was stolen. Just yesterday I asked to get out of Gods permissive will and align me with his Perfect will. My God My God. Im ready. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 congrats to everyone God is so faithful

Very true about different qualities of life in different locations. I'm from North Carolina and it's a dog eat dog world there, even though Charlotte offered much an average person couldn't access them because of being overwhelmed with work and living expenses. My family decided to take a chance and move to Mexico which we have labeled a poor country. This country is not poor however they do pay much less than the US. With that being said these people are very happy, the kids and family vibe is amazing. I see the huge homes and luxury cars on the regular. They treat money different than we do in the us and it works for them exceptionally. They are also very helpful if you happen to be without, they will come together as a community to be there for one another.

Leaving the UK is the best thing I did to elevate my life. It feels like no one in the UK understood what I was doing, I felt judged and felt like an outsider. I've left a lot behind as I feel people can become like crabs in a bucket when you go against the grain in the UK. But we live once and if we believe in ourselves and know ourselves enough I think following what we believe is right to do in life IS our calling. I now have two online businesses that support my life. A healthier mind/lifestyle. Developing my life to fit who I am, not to the enviroments I was raised in.

I grew up in south London, too, with a Jamaican background. We traveled several times a year (not rich either...priorities).I currently live in Florida, which seems like whatever to me, but hearing you explain things in this way really helps to see how that exposure opened my world to so much. I'm open to moving almost anywhere. It's always the things you know, but I need it told back to you when I'm ready to hear. Thanks!
@LoveJhanelle11 ай бұрын
I've been talking about the power of social media being able to archive our lives and current world. It could potentially be used for time travel. Anyone who saw those Montgomery brawl videos could pretty much map that area based on a few videos. We are all videoing. Our great great great grandchildren will get to meet us and know where quirks that have skipped generations come from. We don't need his -story anymore. We are telling our story
@AdamaLorna11 ай бұрын
I really hear you! That's so cool that you've moved to Florida, I've thought about moving to the states a lot over the years. Sometimes we all need to hear things we know back for them to sink in. Thank you for your openness too and thoughtful reflection on the era of content. Studying geography images have played a pivotal part in documenting areas and tribes etc so the videos are definitely an extension of that as you said! ❤️

I'm only 18 and i got saved last year. I think being a Christian now is making me closed off to chamge and being open minded. And thats something I've always wanted to be. I loved the sound of it but really i feel like im in a rut. I have all these good resources like books and KZbin but subconsciously im still used to the old and yes,still in my comfort zone. There are many layers of my personality as well that i would love to work on but it feels like im stuck in mediocrity and i think its because of the way i see and interacy with myself and the world around me
@Heyu7her310 ай бұрын
Make sure your "feelings of mediocrity" aren't coming from covetousness because that will lead you down a rough path! Excitement =/= Satisfaction, & Self-indulgence =/= Self-Care. Moderation/ temperance is DEFINITELY key! Also, hopefully you can find a good Bible study (even here on KZbin) that will pursue pique your curiosity. That's the one benefit from being forced online is that many churches/ ministries/ seminaries still host them.

I resonate with your examples and experience... reading was my first gateway, a way to escape into others thoughts to assist my own. I used to read the theasaurus and keep one with me because it was a personal challenge to never use the common word... find more interesting, but contextually correct, verbage to make my words stand out... because I felt very invisible, but that's a tangent 😅

Yep a platform, like KZbin, that democratises learning and creation and allows the everyday person to share and develop without the gatekeeping associated with other methods of knowledge transfer is definitely up there. The telephone allowed communication between two parties and revolutionised the way we contact each other. KZbin allows sharing between billions in video format. The scale of impact is incredible 😊
