You can but just be a little more gentle on the suede. A suede eraser is a good option for that region.

Hey. Thanks for watching man. That's a suede eraser, its helps remove any blemishes from the suede without damaging it. The solution is the shoe cleaning detergent. I have links in the description for each.

They are kind of narrow so at least a half size up to be safe.
