How I Clean My Stamps

Just found out at Archivers yesterday that the Double Scrubber (the white one) is top rack dishwasher safe.

I think I need to get myself a stamp cleaner looks like a great way to really clean my stamp. When you talk about baby wipes I still buy them even though my youngest is 17 1/2

@laracrazygirl I usually just clean the scrubber pads in the sink with dishsoap - I use my fingers to scrub out the ink with the dishsoap 'till the water runs clear. They stay stained (they'll NEVER go back to being white esp if you use black or solvent inks like StazOn) but they clean out quite nicely.

I use the Gina K scrubber and Gina K stamp cleaner. Looks very similar to this.

@mcfeather9898 Yes most of them are BUT you just need to be careful as they can warp quite bad because of the heat. So testing it out fist definitely helps!

I have a question with the Double Stamp cleaner... Do you need to leave the stamp cleaner open to let it dry? Or can it be closed immediately and put away? Thanks for the help!

Do you still use the ultra clean stamp cleaner? I found your video when I was looking to remove archival ink from my stamps.

yup - Ultra Clean is the BEST stamp cleaner - Simon Says Stamp has it under their brand in a spray and dauber and then Hero Arts still has theirs - it's the same stuff. LOVE that cleaner - and then I use a regular cleaner like a Kirkland baby wipe or Brutus Monroe stamp cleaner after as I find the UC leaves a bit of residue so the wipe or Brutus cleaner swipes that off and it's good to go.

Does the Ultra clean have a smell to it? Is the white scrubber smaller than the stampin up one? Thank you

@MrsWarcup It doesn't matter what you do. I've left it open, and I've closed it up and put away then pull it out a few days later to use - never had a problem :o)

Hi Amy. Thank you for this video. I have been stamping for a very very long time but only last month got a stamp scrubber but only today after watching you did i take it out. I bought the Ranger one as i had no idea about which to buy and with Amazon they more or less came together. My very favorite stamp I bought decades ago was a yellowy/orangy colour but now its clean. Thank you for helping me use a product I bought. I am sure it isn't only me that buy things that stay in the cupboard. My one question is:- is it OK to mix the cleaners on one pad? I'm asking as hubby always tells me not to mix things. Thank you ones again. Luvs and Hugs xxx Wendy

depends on the type of cleaners. Most stamp cleaners can be sprayed or "mixed" onto one pad and it won't cause any sort of chemical reaction. It all comes down to what's in them tho.
