@hannah-sofia83045 жыл бұрын
The stuff she’s using isn’t even that expensive lol it’s standard prices for good skin care! It’s crazy how people would pay $50 for an eyeshadow palette but not $30 for a cleanser...skincare is more important than makeup people!!!

ultimately the ingredients are what matters. you could buy a $100 serum that is chock full of bad stuff for ur skin. i'd say PLEASE do your own research before splurging on a product. you'll save so much time nd money

Yeah but not everyone can afford a $50 makeup and $30 cleanser

Reading the comments about the cost of these products, I expected them to be outrageously expensive. Everything is in the $20-50 range though, except for maybe the serum, which I didn’t find. This really isn’t that crazy, compared to many of the skincare routines that are on YT/Instagram.

Maroyce Chapparam MD Complete’s Retinol Vitamin C serum works wonders! It smells fruity from all the extracts, it cleared my acne scarring from a decade of cystic acne, and it’s only ~$28 from target!

i;m sure you can find a bunch of stuff like that! try reading about double cleansing and you'd probably find something affordable. i would like to help but i know only products from my country, not available outside of it. from my knowledge i wouldn't recommend using any type of brush (like orion uses here) for face with acne, they're not really good for acne prone skin, you could just use your hands or for example konjac sponge if you need something else than your hands. with the cleansers - try not to use products with strong detergents like sls or scs, also alcohol, acohol denat., ethyl alcohol, grain alcohol, ethanol. try avoid silicones. you have to remember to use tonic after cleansing (not micellar water, TONIC). and for many people with acne problems help using single use paper towels instead of regular towels. orion talks about acid and acids are good for acne but i wouldnt use it without talking to someone who knows a lot about it. and don't always believe brands and their labels "for acne" - a lot of them say so but then the ingredients list are full of shit making your acne worse. xx

My dermatologist recommended that I skip morning cleanser and just rinse my face with water and holy cow did that help. I was over-cleansing and didn't even know it.
Oil-cleansing or adequately moisturizing can help a lot if you still want to wash in the morning; or using a super mild, harsh ingredient-free cleanser can help too
@melodyschnapp64555 жыл бұрын
A really important note about some of the things she uses: Look at ingredients. The $75 serum she lists is actually chock full of bad ingredients. Just because it’s an expensive French brand doesn’t mean it’s good for you! Find pure ingredients and makeup!! That completely changed my skin
@krystle80905 жыл бұрын
this is so problematic and a bunch of big youtubers seem to do this. they like to think they know everything about skincare, when really, its an extremely difficult topic to understand, you really gotta know your stuff. but influencers love buying expensive af products, trusting that they will have good ingredients bc of the price tag. its sad that ppl will blindly follow through and empty out their wallets before doing more research themselves.
@melodyschnapp64555 жыл бұрын
krystle yes!!!! I bought the caudalie serum she mentioned and returned it within a couple days to sephora because it wrecked my skin within like ~40ish hours. When I returned it I told the girl the ingredients were really had & I didn’t realize when I bought it. And she goes, “hmm, no. This is caudalie. It’s a really good brand and it’s expensive!” 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

glad to see someone else using a product with sulfur in it... I’m convinced it’s the solution to acne! I use the rodan + fields unblemish products and I think the face wash is what made the most difference (because the rest of the products of the system aren’t really anything too special), and the main active ingredient is sulfur! I feel like it does a lot for stubborn acne and not enough people know about it

I’m struggling right now with acne scarring and uneven texture and I use curology but I think it’s time I get my prescription updated too! It worked beautifully for the first couple of months but I think my skin just got used to it. My skin usually gets worse during the winter, but I would like to hopefully see a difference soon. Thanks for making this video! Struggling with acne can be so discouraging and isolating even when I’m aware that SO many people deal with it and it’s not just me. It really affects the way I view myself sometimes and that is what makes it worse. But This makes me hopeful. Love you.

I’m a licensed esthetician this is what I do for a living so please trust me when I say the brush is not good! Carries and spreads bacteria, impossible to clean correctly. It will not help with your breakouts. Also adding oils to your face will help fix your problem, oil attracts oil so it will help balance everything

i cannot praise Deciem's the Ordinary skincare range enough. I also love Ren's multivitamin moisturizer and under eye cream and Cetaphil's facewash. It's all super affordable too. Taking a probiotic is great for the skin as a lot of viruses will express themselves through your skin so keep your gut healthy and don't exfoliate too often, your skin has a natural cycle for that and you're just inflaming your skin.
@ickyythump95085 жыл бұрын
This was fun!! But i'd like to say ditch the cleansing brush! In the long run its going to bring back the acne :( Also, when putting on serums and moisturizers pat and press into the skin with light pressure and taps! It mimics a facial and penetrates deeper into the skin easier instead of just swooshing it around the surface layer of your skin pulling and tugging at it. Next, save the sunscreen for day time use. There's really no need to go to sleep with SPF on. I also recommend using a more mineral based SPF like Drunk elephants umbra, Supergoops 100% Mineral Matte, Nuetrogena's Sher SPF 50 mineral sunscreen, or Badgers Brand tinted mineral SPF. Try using 100% cold pressed rose hip oil as a second moisturizer, its super hydrating and known for helping with acne pigmentation. Also 15-20% Azealic acid! Does wonders for post inflammatory pigmentation and acne prevention! Also a sulfur cleanser is fantastic, or just plain castor/avocado/almond oil as your first step in double cleansing!

Didn't get acne (maybe had like 3 spots total in my teens) until I hit 21 and then boom, my chin is a fav for cysts. I find 'preventative' skin care is better. Attack your skin whilst you're not in a flare up. Get rid of the sebum build up and cleanse and tone the shit out of it. My skin is also worse in the summer which had me thinking pollen and sun was an issue (I have major hayfever) so using a barrier lotions and antihistamines worked. Also basic biology, make sure your stocked on Vitamin D and B12.

For ppl who are on a budget here u can take care of ur skin u don’t have to buy fancy stuff to have a clear skin believe me just good cleanser and some natural toner like chamomile and rose water and good moisturizer for your skin type and sunscreen, and the trick is to cut out fast food and try to get supplements and eat fruits and vegetables and try to cut out dairy I know it’s hard but twice a month get like almond milk or soy or anything I know it’s expensive I’m on a budget too but trY and try to have the least amount of sugar in my country we have a tax on sugar drinks so that helps me a lot

orion i luh u but PLEASE don't use that brush everyday AND for 60 seconds as well!!!!!!! its a form of physical exfoliant (when ur hands are all u need for those 60 secs) and by doing that every night you're harming your skin barrier by over-exfoliating. its stopping ur body from going through the proper cell turnover phase, which stunts healing P.S. i'm not telling u a bunch of junk i've gotten this info from several estheticians as well, check out caveofbeauty and labeautyologist on twitter
