its funny - cause this is exactly how I used to play Alistair when I played a lot of league 3 years ago. I always understood the tank role to keep your team alive and together. shen does that by creating team split pressure and favourable team fight opportunities. Alistar promotes very aggresive 5v5 tower sieges through sustain, disengage and pure tank.

My biggest trouble after finding such success with this playstyle was finding a champion with a well-rounded ability kit to maintain constant map pressure; that in mind, your introduction and coaching of Shen's path has convinced me it's time for a transition into the top-lane. Mikael's Blessing is a keystone mid-game item on my Shen, because it makes Shen tankier for cheap while also making his ultimate shield better. I remember suggesting this item to you in a very old video. (It was still called Mikael's Crucible then; similarly great on Shen though.) Glad to see you coming around on this item! ... I'm still suggesting to you to try going E-max over Q-max. You lose out a bit on trade damage, but E enables plays.

A little tip about Pinglish, if you put you cursor over an ally champion, all your pings will be directly on their champion hitbox center, so you don't have to move your cursor over to them on the map and follow them along. And it will tell them directly what you're saying. As nobody (unless you do ignore all) can ignore or not see something that's happening directly underneath themselves.

En este ultimo tiempo he subido a plata 1 casi solo Shen (jg y top) con más de 50% de winrate (tambien he usado 3 veces trundle jg), pero claro, en elo bajo, las veces que he ganado es porque tengo un carry que junto a mi ayuda y la del equipo se mantiene vivo y lo dejamos carrear, pero en las ocasiones que he perdido, es porque el carry no tiene la oportunidad de carrear, porque los enemigos nos outplayean o simplemente son mucho mejores que mi equipo y que yo, ademas, tengo la caracterisitca de ser un jugador "pasivo" no hago muchos duelos, freezeo linea, solo juego a ultear y tanquear el daño, para que mi carry haga todo el trabajo. Toda esta experiencia me lleva a decir de que Shen es un pick muy bueno si logras controlarlo decentemente, pero compararme a mi contigo.. ni en mil años podria jugar como tu, eres un jugador simplemente espectacular, por algo eres challenger, pero me inspiraste a jugar Shen, y estoy a punto de subir a oro casi only Shen. Perdon si no lo escribo en ingles, la verdad soy bastante mejor entendiendo el ingles que escribiendolo, pero te agradezco por tus videos xPetu. Edit. I really liked your opinion on titanic hydra because I've been thinking the same. The purpose of shen is to provide incredible amount of utility to the team and not damage. But I've never thought of building actual support items, that was very creative. Also I have to say, it took me more than 300k masteries on shen to realize that holding shen ult is stronger than using it and you just saying it like that in a video makes me want to just sit here and watch you instead of thinking 😂
