The unfamiliarity with Create makes your choices make sense. Normally, if you needed this much iron, you would be making a series of cobble gens, crushing wheels, and gravel-washers to produce endless iron nuggets.

a few tips for someone who seems fairly new to create; 1: JEI can help out a TON when looking at recipies, and stuff such as iron can be produced though bulk washing gravel. 2: Handcranks arent the best, what you can do for individual machines is either have a central powerstation, such as a steam boiler, or you use a weaker power generation settup with a waterwheel, and gearshift it using big to small cogwheels to speed it up. though, waterwheels have low SU Capacity meaning thay can take less machinery 3: Build stuff in creative mode first!!! You can very easily copy it into your world using the schematicannon if you save it using a schematic table, then put the build where you would like it to go. 4: Its normally better to have a full settup base/workshop so youre able to easily chuck in the ore/material you want to process at a decent rate. 5: Making things compact is also important, thoe, if it works and it isnt the smallest, its fine, it works. 6: Automation is key! and if youre struggling on food, look up a tutorial for a wheat farm using the create mod. Hope this helps at all, and love your content!

Here's some tips for getting into create! In the pause menu, there is a button with some goggles on it. Click it, then ponder index, and ponder everything! Cogs dont make stuff faster when just chained into the shaft. You need to put a large cog with a small one diagonally. Oh, and don't look at tutorials. This makes the create mod so much easier and makes it so you don’t have to remember how to build your stuff and saves time. The schematic cannon also only needs gunpowder and no stress units to work.
