So what happened? Did you not water it enough to begin with or did you not smooth the top enough before you started to water?

For dry pouring, I believe you use mortar mix on the top layer to get a smooth finish (no gravel in the mix). I used the gravel mix throughout, so I ended up with pitting on the surface no matter how smooth I tried to get it - I wish I would have put that in the video. Good question.

@@DIYMaverick I made the same mistake yesterday! If you don't want to buy 2 mixes, you can also strain out the larger pebbles and use that to fill in spots before the last screed. Thanks for posting! I'm gonna look into that mix you used to patch 😅
