** IMPORTANT **
I am NOT a psychiatrist and this is NOT a video persuading ANYONE who has been PRESCRIBED by a DOCTOR certain medications to help deal with their anxiety. There is nothing wrong with doing WHATEVER you have to do to BE WELL! That is your FIRST CONCERN. This video is more-so for people who want to try this approach BEFORE going on medication, or if you're considering (SLOWLY) weening yourself off. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consult a doctor, FIRST. Before stopping ANYTHING.

My anxiety is terrible. I describe anxiety as being in a state of fight or flight all the time even at moments that don't call for that. It's worst early in the morning as I am in fear of the progression of the day. It's crazy!!

Anxiety to me is not worry I’m literally not worried about anything. It’s a feeling of panic like you’re going to suddenly die. It’s like being high on weed with extreme paranoia without actually being high. It’s dissociating and not feeling like you’re a human being.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life . I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body . A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken . One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot . It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine , this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip : Everything is alright . The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me ( although it's not gone ) . Before all I could do was lay in bed . Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before . "

Loss of concentration and just unable to focus sent me in a weird place you can say , I didn’t know what was going on . I soon got better from the Covid but still experience the same emotion/anxiety I experienced during being sick . Its like I know and feel okay but I’m not at the same time, and I dwell on time a lot lately because of it . I don’t want nothing bad to happen to myself I clearly wanna live my life peacefully . How have you guys been? Any tips for me ? I just wanna go back to feeling like my normal self

thanks for the video. My anxiety came back last year after some health issues. And now i get anxiety bad when theres no one home with me. And its a huge struggle when i have to be home alone when my parents leave once a month for like 2 to 3 hours for my moms dental visits. I think mine is because i worry im going to pass out while no one is here due to my health issues that are still current. I even had a panic attack so bad the last time they were gone i called 911 because i thought something bad like a heart attack or a stroke was going on. And then later found out it was me over reacting to my physical symptoms and fears and that it was just a bad panic attack. And i really dont want that to happen again. Today is one of those days my parents are gone, and im having some troubles, so ive been watching these kinds of videos. This was helpful. Thanks :D

My statement is for those who have never had it who try to tell me how to deal with it. Those that have never experienced anxiety/ severe anxiety have no idea what it feels like . Don't downplay my symptoms, don't invalidate them, don't tell me to ignore it or that it's all in my head. You have no idea what it's like to be me!! As I always say, nobody knows what another has been through or is going through. What works for some doesn't work for others. I am certainly not criticizing this speaker at all, just telling my experience.

@@dalipaj-sh Hi Mikel! I have been dealing with depression and anxiety for decades and, as you know, anxiety has got to be one of the worst feelings. Won't go into antidepressant history, but had to stop them a couple years ago, became treatment resistant. Have been through TMS which for me was highly successful (for the depression) up until a few weeks ago. As of today I started Pristiq and am hoping it helps. For my anxiety I have been taking Ativan, which works most of the time. I also have a wonderful therapist who has seen me through the worst and seen me at my absolute best. Do you have a therapist or counselor? Have you been on any meds? I also sometimes listen to meditations. There are many but I like Tara Brach(she's on KZbin). Very calming and they aren't long, some only about 18-20 minutes. Most important is to take care of and nurture yourself. I hope you are able to get help to manage your anxiety and start to feel better! Please keep me posted. There are so many of us out there...we don't need to suffer... Take care!

I’ve been dealing with anxiety ever since I was 9 years old… I am now 17. There are times I have good months but atm, I’m having hard months. I’m getting many panic attacks per day, it’s causing me to not be able to sleep. It’s all stemming from the fear of throwing up… which is due to my past trauma. It hasn’t gone away after years and years. But when I do get anxious, I get even more anxious. I’ve also lost my appetite completely. I can’t eat at all. If i do, I get a panic attack. It’s a constant cycle. It’s exhausting and terrifying.
@erinpait
@erinpait 2 жыл бұрын
This basically sounds exactly what I've gone and am going through. So I hope you feel better knowing your not the only person having to deal with this terrible cycle. One of the main things I recommend is getting a homeopathic non drowsy nausea medicine (the brand I use is hylands) and taking it when you start feeling nauseous so that you aren't just fighting the feeling which just makes it worse, and causes more anxiety. Second I recomend finding some nice calming books to read, magazines to look at, or youtube videos to watch (personally I like watching the laid back country lifestyle videos). And so your brain starts connecting these things with feeling calm, so you are basically training your brain to feel better. For me I found sleeping propped up on 4 or 5 pillows so that I'm in a reclined sitting position makes it easier for me to fall asleep. And also for me I listen to the same rain sound video every night and the familiar sound helps me relax. As for eating.... it is a constant struggle, but finding foods that you know your stomach can take can lessen the anxiety that goes with eating (I eat eggs and simply carbs like a plain cracker when I feel bad and dont feel like I can eat anything). I dont know if any of this will be helpful to you but hopefully you will feel better soon.

Do not worry about what you can not control!!! Don't even worry about what you can control Scripture and breathing techniques are a big help for me. I can only speak for me but I had to stop having expectations of what ppl should be, how they should be and expecting reciprocations of ME! Routines have never worked for me, I had to stop beating myself up about it and just live DAILY. I do set goals daily, weekly and monthly but I celebrate what I do, not what I don't I had to stop being a crutch for ppl, usury is draining, set boundaries and stick to them. I'm a firm believer in cutting off ppl, things or whatever causes uneasiness, stress or panic attacks!

Great video! I found a lot of help from a person called TheAnxietyGuy that's on KZbin. Your segment on keeping in the here and now reminded me of one of the techniques he mentions using when one starts to feel those physical symptoms of a panic attack coming on. You snap your finger next to your ear and either say out loud (ideally or just think it if you're maybe in public or something) and it reminds you to come back into exactly that. Here and now. That is the biggest problem. Mind always wondering off looking for threats that aren't there. Tigers in the bushes from our ancient caveman days 😁

Been dealing with GAD for 12 years every day I wake up my brain is in a warzone like I'm in saving Private Ryan. If I feel this Littles pain it's either a disease or an organ shutting off. I'm sick of it.

Thank you so much for making this. I have dealt with anxiety for half of my life and I never knew exactly what was going on. I've only recently realized what was happening and I'm just starting to try and deal with this so I can live a happier, healthier life. I won't say that it's severe but it has made functionality in my daily life a lot more difficult than it needs to be. I wish everyone luck! We can do this!

I’ve always thought anxiety to be a permanent thing like it’s never going away. I’m also I think anxiety drivin. Like I use my anxiety to live life because I’ve always thought it’s just gonna be there. Recently though it’s been really just wearing on me. Worrying all the time about stuff I have no control over. It can literally take over your life. My kids are becoming teenagers and I can not sit around and think about all the what ifs in the past or future. It’s all negative thoughts too. I just know I can get a better handle on it and maybe even eliminate or cure the unnecessary anxiety I create in my mind. So I’m anxious for this journey but I’m ready to start it.

I almost had agoraphobia at one point. It never started till the doctor was giving me ssri's and or benzos to take. Here, take these pills then come back next month and tell me your new symptoms. Now I'm off of all that and taking natural supplements, etc.

Kingkoilly, Heal yourself. Reduce negative thoughts. Its quite simple. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts and anxiety For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 10-15 minutes or more. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. Deep inhalation is not needed. Whenever you are free during the day or night before sleep sit or lie down still and observe your breath. Being still reduces negative thoughts. Do the above practice daily to have a good life. Best wishes and prayers. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.
