excellent lesson , finally someone says that you have to turn the pattern over so that the textured part is on the right side ! Thank you very much. I just started watching your videos and I already subscribed! I already learned some time ago and some details were forgotten but now that I'm retired I'm going to start over again ,when I see you I'm delighted! The way you cuts in a curve, super!

Your process doesn’t seem to be as complicated? I like that. Some people are doing mosaics where they put grout, which is cool. I want to do that too but I just really like Stainglass a lot. Thank you so much for sharing your talent I really appreciate it. Newly retired and wanted to get back to what I used to do when I was younger. It was fun.

Heya! I’ve been following you for awhile so this is just awesome motivation. I seriously want to get into making some glass creations, but no experience and zero set up, so would be interested if you did a video on how you started, what you started with or what you’d need, an idea for pricing for glass/utensils, maybe your first piece? Would lalalove to know how to get into this at a beginners level in lil ol’ NZ, idk just an idea! Cause you’re pieces are beautiful and want a different outlet in with creativity! Anyway thanks heaps and loved the video, might just be my motivation 😅💜

Question: Do you fill your glass cutter with oil? Does it turn bad (sticky?) if you don't use it often? I've bought many pattern books, so do I really need a light box and what do you do with it mainly? So appreciative to find such an awesome new instructor. I've watched many videos and yours is hands-down the best on breaking glass! Thanks from Florida.

Are there shavings in the pieces? Do they hurts your hands before sand?
@TheSweetKarmaBar3 жыл бұрын
the edges are sharp but the glass is thick enough that you can hold firmly without getting cut, unlike picture frame glass, that thin stuff that slices n dices hahah

@paulinacarlisle73893 жыл бұрын
hi there.. I want to have little shapes for a project that are very nicely ground on the edges, as the edges will be exposed. Would a Gryphette be capable of this? or a Dremel ? NOT a leaded glass project ... edges will be exposed and need to be nice

So much beauty I am in love, where do you get yr glass from??
@pam15572 жыл бұрын
Back in the day we would cut the pattern out and glue the pattern pieces to the glass? but I see you don’t do that. Makes sense. Always wondered if that was necessary I could you just do what you were doing? Also we used a pair of scissors that each blade had a clear strip basically in it where it took out a little strip of a pattern I guess that was for the channels of lead I don’t know.

How are you keeping the glass from sliding?
@TheSweetKarmaBar4 жыл бұрын
It's hard to explain, but I dont cut at to much of an angle I'm very much directly over it, pressure wise, so I'm not pushing it in a way to make it slide to much🥰

Does your glass ever slide around on you when you’re trying to cut it?
@TheSweetKarmaBar5 жыл бұрын
it sure can, depending on my cutting surface, so I try to hold it with the pads of my fingers
@blabla101114 жыл бұрын
When cutting the oil won’t come out of the reservoir because tiny pieces of glass clog it up. To prevent this you can just dip the tip of the cutting blade before cutting
@TheSweetKarmaBar4 жыл бұрын
Love that!! Thank you beauty!

Where else would you find some glass for beginners?
@TheLiliandoll3 жыл бұрын
It makes me anxious seeing you work without gloves 😅
@TheSweetKarmaBar3 жыл бұрын
🤣🤣🙌 believe it or not, if you take classes they tell you not to wear gloves, because you have more control and dexterity with your fingers , it was so scary at first when I started, but the glass is thicker than picture frame glass and it is not as easy to just cut yourself with. 🤣 but let's be real, you still get some cuts from time to time🤪
@StinkyDustyBird3 жыл бұрын
I’m trying to figure how your foiling is, like 8:37, it looks thick
@TheSweetKarmaBar3 жыл бұрын
I use a thicker foil when I have pieces with edges that are not framed, so she is stronger 💗💗
