It looks really beautiful, I have very curly hair and tryied this haircut with this tutorial, it turn out to be the best crazy thing that I have ever did with my hair. But the smallest layer can't be so small like in the video, should be like the height of a normal "bang" so it doesn't turn out awkward. Cuz when the curls activate will look more shorter than they are.

All you have to do is try pinning them in place for a while. Try constantly moving them to the side you want. Hairspray. Eventually it'll just start staying (mine tools couple of weeks to stay). Also, straightening it or blow drying it in the direction you want it to go helps A LOT. Good luck ^-^
