I've been wanting to try cutting my own hair for the longest time and finally just DID IT! I'm actually so, so pleased with how good it turned out so I'm definitely going to do this again in the future, especially since I'm pretty picky with salon cuts and I hate that awkward part at the end if you want to adjust anything. Anyone else like this? 😅 It was actually very easy and straightforward so I hope this was helpful!

I L❤VE IT! I only tried Brad Mondo’s tutorial and it came out very similar to your style. It feels so refreshing, right? I, too, saw very little length removed but the feel and body was so apparent. You did an outstanding job! It almost gives K-Pop star vibes. ✨❤✨

Okay. So I just used this cutting style to try for long layers in my hair. She makes it look easy because I'm sure that there is editing that's been done. So what I did, and my hair ended up great, was watch a video three times in a row. When I did my front section I watched how she did it three times. It's almost like measure twice cut. The secret to getting this right is time, time, time. Take your time and do not rush. If you have to do it for 5 times before you cut then measure for five times. This worked out extremely well for me. It probably took me about 45 minutes. Straighten your hair before you do this, and use hair cutting scissors that aren't blunt. If you follow her directions exactly, you will be happy with the way it turns out.

Does this go for any longer hairstyle??
@abigailalvarado84603 ай бұрын
Just finished and it looks great!!!! For everyone who is saying they butchered their hair, do EXACTLY what she does. Don’t do it wet. Straighten it so you don’t get it too short and spend the most time sectioning it off. If you get the sections right, you cannot go wrong with this technique!

Girlssssss.. I'm giving the honest review. I tried it today and it turned out to be perfectttttt. You're gonna love it. But for the perfect look you've to do the partition of your hair as it is told in the video. Follow the steps and you'll achieve the perfect look.

I’ve been giving myself simple haircuts/trims the past few years, because I typically leave the hair dressers unhappy with the end result. Hair cuts have also gotten very expensive, so it’s tough to pay a premium for service you don’t love. I was nervous to try this tutorial, but I absolutely LOVEEE the results! My hair feels so much lighter, but I still have the length I want. This haircut makes my hair look so much more styled than any haircut I’ve paid for in the past! Thank you for sharing sucha clear and helpful tutorial!❤

I did this and half-assed it and it still looks great. I'm positive an actual hair stylist would see my mistakes but I'm happy with how it turned out, I just needed a quick refresh and this helped so much. I have been cutting my family's hair for a many years and get tired of paying for salon cuts for myself that can be really hit and miss how I want it. And those cuts keep costing more and more. I really want to be able to cut my own hair to save money and avoid the salon costs. I have tried one ponytail cut from a different source a ways back and while it was an ok cut I had to figure out some tweaks and blending on my own after as it wasn't the best result and not what I wanted. This video was perfect! I first watched your KZbin short version and followed along. It is really nice but now that I found the full video I am glad to see that I can blend it better with thinning shears. I have thick fine hair that has quite a bit of wave to it. And I am going to go back with the pony tails back in and blend it with the thinning shears and I know it will be my favourite hair cut! I am thrilled to be able to do my perfect cut for myself now! SO THRILLED 🥰 Thank-you for this fantastic method and detailed video showing every step of what to do and styling tips! I am excited to try the styling tips too as I also have wave to my hair and it never stays straight after sleeping on it. I do have some knowledge and experience with layers and cutting my daughter's hair but not on myself. I am self taught and no professional training. All I did was follow the video and pay careful attention to each step and how she was holding the hair, cutting it, and the angle to pull the sections out at. These things are important to success. When the angles you are pulling and cutting your hair in relation to pulling away from the head and the angle of the cut changes the layers change. Just take your time and make sure you are doing it just as shown watching the angles you are holding the hair before cutting.

I just tried this this. My hair is very thick and about 6 inches past my shoulders. It’s very heavy and hot in the summer. And normally when it gets like this, I just chop it off. So before I overreacted, I decided to try layers because I’ve wanted to for years. I very much like my hair it’s shiny. It’s thick, so I wanted to keep the length. I have to tell you I was nauseous cutting 5 inches off my front ponytail. I cut it about an inch and a half below my chin.I have to be able to still get it off of my face. I didn’t do it as smoothly as you did. But I feel I did a good job. I will definitely try this again as it grows out. Thank you for the excellent tutorial. I appreciate you taking the time. I did subscribe to your page for many of your ideas. Thank you.

I rarely have time to get to the hair Salon between work and home. I hadn't gone for over 2 years and my hair was down to my waist and the layers were long gone. I like low maintenance and don't have much time to style. I watched the video several times before attempting. While cutting my hair I followed along pausing and re-watching whenever needed which was a lot. I was shocked at the results. It looks just like when I go to the salon and pay $100 for a cut and style. It took time and patience, but it was my first time cutting hair ever. I know it'll go faster and easier the next time. Thank you for taking time to make this step by step approach to cutting your own hair.
