Thank you so much for this video! I'm an otome game writer finishing up a title for this season, and absolutely agree with many of these tips for wanting to stay productive, but doing it at a reasonable pace. When I first started, I didn't really think too much about the longer hours and overworking myself for the sake of the story I wanted to write, but in time, it's truly eye-opening how terrible fatigue and burnout can really impact your health and your creativity overall when you don't rest properly. The only ways to really combat them are by being able to find a good balance, touching grass, making connections, and giving yourself a world to be present at that isn't the ones you're spending time in with your creations. It's also a long-term process, so for people out there thinking that they can't find that balance quite yet, keep at it! Just by doing a few of these kinds of tips will make a difference, and in time you'll realize that they've become good habits and rituals in your life as you keep making amazing things.

RE: that crop tool on the quick commands bar. You can go into your CSP setting to customise what tools are on that bar (or literally any bar anywhere) you can get rid of the crop, as well as add any you think you might use there

Hey Nina! I see your struggle with the lasso tool and the delete everything option TT CSP (on ipad too) actually has a lasso+fill all-in-one tool that could really streamline your highlights/shadows process. It's called Lasso Fill. You'll find it listed with the shape/line tools (the icon probably under the gradient/bucket tools, unless your interface is diiff than mine). The sub-tool icon is a lasso that's filled in the middle. If you'd like to stick w the normal lasso though, you can set the "selection mode" in tool properties so when you make a new selection it auto-cancels the old one so you don't have to hit deselect every time (it's the first plain square option).

I'm glad to see webtoon artists still drawing background stuff from scratch. I don't mind 3D models at all, they are a great life saver but anyone noticed how the excessive use of 3D models in so many webtoons make them all look the same? (except for the main characters of course)

I’m working on a children’s novel that’s been inspired by manga and webtoons I can’t draw so I use AI to develop my characters and turn into story boards. I”ll start writing at 7am. When all of a sudden I’m starving. I’ll look at the time and it’s midday!! And funnily enough I’m actually burnt out right now. I’ve never experienced burn out from something positive before so it’s been a steep learning curve for me. Time to set some boundaries. I’m also lucky to live in a pretty neighbourhood so I take walks in the morning it helps to switch the brain on. And now that’s it’s spring in Australia it’s a lot easier. No more freezing my butt off and I LOVE railgun. My studio is all Sakura and Misika ❤😂
