Jealousy is a very transparent emotion. Unfortunately if somebody leaves a negative comment, what they’re really saying is I’m jealous of you. And it doesn’t necessarily mean that they hate you, it just means that they don’t know how to handle their jealous emotion.

I wish I had seen your comment earlier, as I made the mistake of farming a hater's comments for said algorythm data, thinking he'd just go away on his own. Turns out I was wrong and he turned out to be a narccissistic, obsessive stalker, who kept harassing my channel for with 4 months straight with no signs of ever stopping until I blocked him. When I finally did, I was under so much stress that I still haven't recovered fully from it. I really wish I could turn back time and follow your advice the first time around.

Yes, it's the ones that are not about simple rude comments about you but more about your perspective on a topic, and they want you to know you're wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it's tricky when they feel there's a movement to drown out opposing views. These are the main comments I grapple with. I don't want to delete them because they ARE entitled to have their opinion. I wish they also understood that EVERYONE can agree to disagree on things.

My channel is about healing after abortion and I’ve had some real hateful comments about how we deserve to suffer. At first those comments take my breath away. Then I have to pause and remember that either they have been deeply wounded by abortion or other trauma or they simply don’t comprehend the mercy and salvation through Jesus. Those comments reinforce my mission to shine His light and share His love with people hurting from abortion.

The way someone delivers a comment really affects me. I’ve had comments that disagreed with me, but were polite, and I was fine with those, but I just had my first commenter who said I was “dangerous,” “poisonous,” and called me “some girl” or something to that affect, and that really hurt. I probably shouldn’t have responded, when I congratulated them for being the first person to almost make me cry, but on their second response they said they failed to do their job because they didn’t make me cry. I shouldn’t think about it, because I’ve gotten dozens of positive comments, but I just feel gutted. If comments like this become regular, how do I protect my mental health?

In KZbin Studio, you could set the comment moderation on your channel to "strict." You could also block out words and phrases from comments. Then, never look at comments in "held for review."

I used to get a lot of hate for my content and I remember making a video saying I’m quitting KZbin and no longer making videos (I’ve deleted that video), I got comments where people were excited that I was quitting and some people were like “no one cares” etc. This was over 4 years ago though. If you’re here getting hated on, just ignore the haters just cause they’re jealous of you 😌

I just went through a 6-month harassment of being bullied, mocked on someone's channel, getting mutual viewers on his side. I handled it with class, maturity and strength. I am so proud of myself! How I handled this was the best as I looked at it with question, "who is this person to me?" He is NOBODY to me. So his words will not get to me, he just wants to get a rise from me and I am not going to allow that as I know who I am. Let him go off as he is showing his true colours, he is ruining his own channel by slamming me with his verbal diarrhea. I used "Silence is My Strength" to get through this. The dude kept watching me (he helped the algorithm) to see if I was going to say anything on my own channel but I went on with my days like nothing happened or said as I wasn't going to give this dude airtime on my channel. I am not going to ruin my channel, also I use "two wrongs don't make it right" meaning someone has to be the big person. My supporters were upset and mad for me, they said aren't you going to do something? I did report some of the videos but KZbin probably deals with a lot of complaints so they were no help. The dude even brought his drama on other mutual channels we watch and mod for. Around May 12, was a victory day for me as this dude and his followers finally stopped as "for now", others complained about them. I may put my experience in a video for others to learn how to deal with haters.

As of today, he is still at it mocking me, he has toned down but now he is bashing someone else on KZbin. I believe KZbin should ban him on KZbin as he is misleading, his channel name doesn't match his toxic content.

Best thing to do is act stupid. Thank them & act like what they said is super helpful & positive. Thank them for being a fan & act like they LOVE your videos. Thank them for wasting all their time watching your videos & commenting. You can turn it around on them & make them feel stupid. Try to make them realize that they are wasting their time on your channel. Use reverse psychology on them.

What can you do if it’s a fandom hating on you over a result of a battle you disagree with? And they say that you suck and compare your videos to people who have millions of subs? And other jerks come to agree with the troll, and if you block them then they laugh and take it as a win? After making a live-reaction to the 2018 Mario vs Sonic Death Battle, I received countless comments from Mario fanboys calling me stupid, telling me to stop making videos, saying that I have a mental problem, racial slurs, death threats, and more. People believe that I’m stupid just because I like Sonic, and yet I’ve graduated from a university and won scholarships to study abroad in Japan! This video really speaks to me. I’m 31 and I feel like I wasted my 20s. I was doing so well in college, but when I graduated at the age of 22 my whole life fell apart as my best friend betrayed me and because I struggle with depression and social anxiety I spent a lot of time online. I’m so ashamed, I became an internet troll in order to defend my favorite video game character’s honor who is constantly hated on. This character saved my life from childhood abuse and neglect. I wasted so much of my time arguing with people on the internet and I’m so disgusted with myself. Everyday I feel like such a horrible person for the nasty things I said online. I’ve also lost my love for video games, Anime, and Japan. I used to love them all so much that I even studied abroad in Japan when I was in college! How did I go from studying abroad in Japan to becoming an internet troll? I’m now on a spiritual journey to figure out who I am and what to do with the rest of my life. I feel like such an effing mess and I still obsess over the same mean comments that I got years ago on my old gaming channel for being a fan of this character, I just wish I knew how to get out of this mental Hell!

On my channel everything gets approved by me. You don't like me keep it moving, but I will NOT let you disrespect me in my house. To post a comment you have to be respectful or it will never see the light of day. If they don't like you NEVER entertain their views on your comments section. Let them post it on their own channel that no one will be watching. You don't have to take the abuse from anyone to be successful. I know you can't please everyone and some people will hate cause it's all they got going for themselves. I often tell my daughters if Jesus was a KZbinr he would have haters. You are making them famous by allowing them to post negative comments about you on your channel. Take that power away from them or it will destroy you mentally no matter how you try to ignore it. The thing is you might not care about what they say about you but it's the fact that they want others to read it to gain some attention to THEMSELVES for hurting you mentally is what matters. It's really Cyber bullying. NEVER let them do that to you.

They said on KZbin with streamers u do have a large percentage of Narcercists and they have their egos bruised when they see people like you sharing and helping others. It doesn't have to have truth to it to be hurtful. If someone values manners or respect they can still be affected by it. You have to understand that if you post anything on the internet that you are giving someone access to you and that many people are wounded or ill inside. I don't believe humans were made for this degree of interaction. You can't control other's behavior but you are responsible for you and the boundaries you set for yourself. Choose wisely.

my rule is, if the hateful comment is about the content (they disagree with it) I let it sit there without replying to it. If the nasty comment is about how I look, about who I am or abusive in any way I block those mofos.

07:41 ummm...I am one of the ones who is a super fan of Think Media, watch it 5 times a week, for 4 years... listen while driving, model their mindset, bought my camera, rode cause of them ... And never hit the like button on any video of theirs lol. I just don't hit the "like" button. So them "likes" and analytics are not an absolute metric but an indicator.

Who has time to constantly make untrue negative comments. I challenge those who criticize. Ask yourself, was I there to actually witness whatever accusations where there is no proof. You have either made your own deduction or heard something from somebody else. If that’s the case, then don’t embarrass yourself and make false judgments. Keep quiet and move on. I’m retired now but back a year ago and 40 years prior to that I was too busy WORKING! Something that some not all, but some young people feel they do not have to work to earn a living. Whoever raised you did a big disservice, you will not survive, constantly criticizing and hating, especially things that have no truth to them whatsoever. Get a life get a job take care of your family take care of the elderly, volunteer your time in a productive manner that makes you a better person. Sometimes i wonder if we overuse the word hate. Hate is a strong word. If you are posting on a public forum people can say public things. I wouldn't nessacerly say comments about your grey hair is hate. Its a comment pointing out something about you. I did find it funny though that in a serious topic video you managed to promote 2 courses to the audience. I get it. Always be closing. But it could of taken a back seat this video.
